Prime Minister visits number of medical factories

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani on Thursday visited a number of factories of medical products and supplies in the small and medium industries zone in the industrial Area, to see the progress of the production in the country with regard to the medical industries and its adequacy to meet the local market needs of various products and supplies.
His Excellency visited Qatar Pharma Pharmaceutical Industries Factory, Qatar Al-Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries Factory and Al-Maha Medical Supplies, where he listened to explanations about the strategic plans of these factories and their production capacities of medicines, sanitizers and masks.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior also inspected, during the visits, the laboratories, warehouses, and the workflow of factories, in accordance with their manufacturing plans that seek to fulfill the need for medical supplies in the local market and to export to brotherly and friendly countries.
His Excellency praised the efforts of the factories, their managements and workers, commending the role played by the private sector in the several spheres, particularly the medical field, in response to the national executive plan to counter the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

قام معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، اليوم بزيارة لعدد من مصانع المنتجات والمستلزمات الطبية بمنطقة الصناعات الصغيرة والمتوسطة في المنطقة الصناعية، للاطلاع على سير الحركة الإنتاجية في البلاد فيما يتعلق بالصناعات الطبية وكفايتها لسد حاجة السوق المحلي من مختلف المنتجات والمستلزمات.
فقد زار معاليه كلا من مصنع /قطر فارما للصناعات الدوائية/، ومصنع /قطر الحياة/ للصناعات الدوائية، و/المها/ للمستلزمات الطبية، واستمع لشروح حول الخطط الاستراتيجية للمصانع، وطاقتها الإنتاجية من أدوية ومعقمات وكمامات.
كما اطلع معالي رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية خلال الزيارات على المختبرات والمعامل الطبية والمستودعات وآليات سير عمل المصانع، وفق خططها التصنيعية الساعية لتحقيق المتطلبات الطبية للسوق المحلي بالإضافة إلى التصدير إلى الدول الشقيقة والصديقة .
وأشاد معاليه بجهود المصانع والقائمين عليها والعاملين فيها، وبالدور الذي يقوم به القطاع الخاص في المجال الطبي خاصة وفي مختلف المجالات عامة، استجابة للخطة الوطنية التنفيذية لمواجهة فيروس كورونا المستجد / كوفيد-19/.
