Amir, Albanian PM discuss relations

Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met yesterday at the Amiri Diwan with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of his visit to the country.
They reviewed bilateral relations and means of boosting them in various fields, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers.
H E the Prime Minister and Interior Minister also held formal talks with the visiting Prime Minister. They discussed the bilateral relations and the prospects for enhancing them, especially in the economic and investment fields.
A number of regional and international issues of mutual concern were also discussed. H E the Prime Minister and his Albanian counterpart witnessed the signing of a maritime transport agreement, a letter of intent between the Ministries of Interior of the two countries on cooperation in the field of security, and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of sport.
H E the Prime Minister and Interior Minister also hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the visiting Prime Minister.
استقبل حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، بمكتبه في الديوان الأميري صباح أمس، دولة السيد إيدي راما رئيس وزراء جمهورية ألبانيا والوفد المرافق، بمناسبة زيارته للبلاد.
جرى خلال المقابلة استعراض العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، وسبل دعمها وتعزيزها في مختلف المجالات، بالإضافة إلى عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
حضر المقابلة معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية، وعدد من أصحاب السعادة الوزراء.
