Zinedine Zidane tests positive for Coronavirus

Doha: Real Madrid announced yesterday, Friday, that their French coach Zinedine Zidane has been infected with the new Coronavirus, “Covid-19”. According to what was reported by beIN Sports.

According to Spanish press reports, Zidane’s assistant David Bitoni will be responsible for managing the team during the next confrontation, as Zidane will not be in the coach’s seat for his team during the Deportivo Alavés match on Saturday night in the 20th round of La Liga.

On Wednesday, Real Madrid were eliminated from the semifinals of the SuoerCopa De Espana, by losing 1-2 against Athletic Bilbao.

Real Madrid’s pain also continued with Zidane, as the team were eliminated early from Copa del Rey, after losing in the 32nd round with a score of 1-2 to Alcoyano.

وكان ريال مدريد خرج يوم الأربعاء قبل الماضي من نصف نهائي كأس السوبر الإسباني، وذلك بخسارته 1-2 أمام أتلتيك بلباو.

كما تواصلت أوجاع ريال مدريد مع زيدان، حيث خرج الفريق بشكل مبكر من كأس ملك إسبانيا، عقب خسارته في دور الـ32 بنتيجة 1-2 أمام ألكويانو.

يذكر أنه على صعيد الدوري الإسباني، يحتل الريال المركز الثاني برصيد 37 نقطة، متأخرا عن جاره أتلتيكو مدريد صاحب الصدارة بفارق 7 نقاط، مع إمكانية زيادتها إلى 10 حال فوز الأخير بمباراته المؤجلة.
