Al-Ghanim visits production line for Typhoon and Hawk in Worton

HE the Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanim has participated in the second meeting of the Group of Chiefs of Staff of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), United Kingdom, Egypt and Jordan, which was held in London.
The Chief of Staff’s participation comes in response to the invitation he had received from the United Kingdom’s Chief of the Defence Staff Sir Nick Carter. The meeting discussed a number of important topics including ways to develop forces, capacity building and how to develop the capabilities of individuals.
It also dealt with cyber security issue and ways to counter drone aircraft.
زار سعادة الفريق الركن (طيار) غانم بن شاهين الغانم رئيس أركان القوات المسلحة، مصنع خط الإنتاج لـ «التايفون» و«الهوك» لشركة «بي سيستم» في مدينة ورتون بالمملكة المتحدة.
وكان في استقبال سعادته المدير التنفيذي للشركة السيد كريستوفر بوردمان، وقام سعادته بجولة داخل المصنع للاطلاع على أحدث المعدّات والأجهزة.
حضر من الجانب القطري العميد الركن (جو) حمد جاسم المري ملحق الدفاع في المملكة المتحدة، والعميد الركن (طيار) جاسم محمد المناعي قائد مجموعة القتال الجوي وضابط مشروع طائرات «التايفون»، والعميد الركن عبدالعزيز صالح السليطي رئيس هيئة التعاون الدولي العسكري.
