Exhibition on Ancient Palestinian Inscriptions and Writings Launches at Arab League

Cairo: An exhibition on ancient Palestinian inscriptions and writings launched on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Secretariat General of the Arab League in Cairo.
The exhibition, which will be held for two days, is organized in cooperation with the Wasata Youth Action Association in Palestine and the Arab Cultural Association in Jordan.
The exhibition aims to shed light on Palestine’s cultural history, present a new vision based on archaeological evidence and ancient inscriptions as well as trace the development of the Canaanite alphabet.
It also aims to spread the history and culture of the Palestinian people and educate the youth about it.
Arab League’s Assistant Secretary General and Head of Social Affairs Sector Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh stated that the exhibition will also include a symposium on the importance of inscriptions in understanding the ancient and modern history of Palestine.
She explained that these types of events reflect the adherence of Arabs to their history, civilization and culture.
Abu Ghazaleh also noted that this sends a strong message to the Israeli entity and the world of Israel’s intentions of Judaizing Jerusalem and falsifying the history of Palestine.
The Israeli entity has been aiming to erase the Palestinian identity since 1948 with illegal methods such as theft, appropriation, obliteration and destruction, she added.

القاهرة: انطلقت فعاليات معرض /نقوش فلسطين القديمة وكتاباتها/، بمقر الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية بالقاهرة، بالتعاون مع جمعية وساطة للعمل الشبابي بدولة فلسطين، وجمعية الحضارة العربية بالأردن وتستمر فعالياته على مدى يومين.
ويهدف المعرض إلى تسليط الضوء على التاريخ الحضاري لفلسطين وتقديم رؤية جديدة بناء على الشواهد الأثرية والنقوش القديمة، وتتبع تطور الأبجدية الكنعانية. كما يهدف أيضا إلى نشر المعرفة التاريخية والحضارية للشعب الفلسطيني وتوعية الشباب بها.
وذكرت السفيرة هيفاء أبو غزالة الأمين العام المساعد رئيس قطاع الشؤون الاجتماعية بجامعة الدول العربية، في بيان لها، أن فعاليات المعرض ستتضمن أيضا ندوة حول أهمية النقوش في فهم تاريخ فلسطين القديم والحديث، وأوضحت أن مثل هذه الفعاليات العربية تعكس رسالة قوية حول الموقف العربي الذي يتمسك بالتاريخ والحضارة والثقافة العربية.
وأشارت إلى أن الفعاليات العربية في هذا الشأن توجه رسالة قوية أيضا إلى الكيان الإسرائيلي، القوة القائمة بالاحتلال، مضيفة أن هذه الرسالة يسمعها العالم كله لتوضح نية هذه القوة الغاشمة الرامية إلى تهويد القدس وتزوير تاريخ فلسطين العريق، واتخاذ أساليب غير مشروعة كالسرقة والاستيلاء والطمس والتدمير، وغيرها من الوسائل اللاأخلاقية التي تسعى لطمس الهوية الثقافية والحضارية الفلسطينية منذ عام 1948.
