Lolwah Al Khater and Bangladesh envoy discuss latest COVID-19 developments

Doha: The Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H E Lolwah bint Rashid Mohammed  Al Khater, who is also Spokesperson of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management met yesterday with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Ashud Ahmed. The meeting reviewed the latest developments of the COVID-19 in Qatar and the world.

During the meeting, H E the Assistant Foreign Minister conveyed the State of Qatar’s condolences to the government and people of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on the Bangladeshi citizen who passed away yesterday due to coronavirus. Her Excellency affirmed that Qatar is keen on providing high quality health care to all its residents.

For his part, H E the Ambassador extended thanks to the State of Qatar for the measures it had taken to preserve the safety of all, affirming the appreciation of the Bangladeshi community in the country.

اجتمعت سعادة السيدة لولوة بنت راشد بن محمد الخاطر مساعد وزير الخارجية، والمتحدث الرسمي لوزارة الخارجية، والمتحدث الرسمي للجنة العليا لإدارة الأزمات، مع سعادة السيد أشود أحمد سفير جمهورية بنغلاديش الشعبية لدى الدولة.

جرى خلال الاجتماع استعراض آخر تطورات فيروس كورونا /كوفيد – 19/ في قطر والعالم.

ونقلت سعادة مساعد وزير الخارجية خلال الاجتماع، تعازي دولة قطر إلى جمهورية بنغلاديش الشعبية حكومة وشعباً في المواطن البنغالي الذي وافته المنية يوم أمس جراء إصابته بفيروس كورونا.

وأكدت سعادتها، حرص دولة قطر على توفير الرعاية الصحية عالية الجودة لجميع سكانها.

من جانبه، شكر سعادة السفير، دولة قطر على الإجراءات التي اتخذتها للحفاظ على سلامة الجميع، مؤكداً أنها محط تقدير الجالية البنغلاديشية في الدولة.
