Stockholm closes museums and art galleries to stop Coronavirus

Stockholm: The Swedish capital decided to close all its museums and art galleries and restrict group sports activities starting today, to combat the high number of cases of Coronavirus. The city government announced the cancellation of ice skating at the local skating rinks.
The idea is to help Stockholm’s citizens comply with recommendations from health authorities. While sports facilities will remain virtually open, no visits will be permitted.
The measures are scheduled to take effect temporarily until November 19. Sweden has taken an unusual approach to the coronavirus pandemic, with somewhat lenient measures.

ستوكهولم: قرّرت العاصمة السويدية إغلاق جميع متاحفها ومعارضها الفنّية وتقييد الأنشطة الرياضية الجماعية اعتبارًا من اليوم الأحد لمُكافحة ارتفاع أعداد حالات الإصابة بفيروس كورونا.
وأعلنت حكومةُ المدينة، إلغاء التزحلق على الجليد في حلبات التزلّج المحلية. وتكمن الفكرة في مُساعدة مواطني استوكهولم على الامتثال لتوصيات السلطات الصحية. وبينما ستظلّ المرافق الرياضية مفتوحة فعليًا، لن يتمّ السماح بزيارتها.
ومن المقرّر أن تسري الإجراءاتُ بشكل مؤقّت حتى 19 نوفمبر. واتبعت السويد نهجًا غير مُعتاد تجاه جائحة فيروس كورونا، مع اتّخاذ تدابير مُتساهلة إلى حد ما.
