The ‘Junior Inspector’ campaign raises awareness on anti-Coronavirus measures

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has launched a campaign to educate children remotely about the importance of receiving home delivery services safely.
The campaign ‘Junior Home Inspector’ provides basic information to children about receiving home delivery services safely, said the Ministry in a release.
The junior inspectors are told to conduct inspection while receiving food items from delivery boys.
The junior inspector campaign was launched within the efforts of the committee for volunteering work support initiative at MME to support State’s measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Head of the Health Monitoring Section at Al Rayan Municipality, Majid Burhan Al Zaidan, held a remote meeting through video conferencing with a number of children to explain how to deal with the food items which are delivered to home by eateries or other food outlets.
Al Zaidan who is also a member of the committee for volunteering work support initiative educated children about health and safety rules and regulations.
Giving safety tips to children, Al Zaidan said that it is necessary for junior inspectors to wear face mask and glove properly and make sure that delivery boy is also wearing them while delivering food items at the door.
The junior inspectors were also instructed to keep distance from delivery boy and ask him to place the parcel order at the door.
Al Zaidan asked children to ensure that parcel boxes and packets should be closed tightly because it is necessary to curb the spread of infection of coronavirus.
Speaking about the payment to delivery boy, he said that it is better to make prepayment by parents online but in case of paying cash, exact amount should be given to avoid taking back the remaining change.
Al Zaidan said that the project aims at achieving the vision of MME (Always Safe Food) by involving children in community services, utilizing their capability to protect themselves and their families from the epidemic.
He said that the campaign helps children introduce key health conditions for the safety of foods, creating a sense of responsibility among them towards the community.
Al Zaidan said that the project will continue to involve large number of children at home for creating health awareness about food items until the end of this crisis.

دشنت وزارة البلدية والبيئة حملة «المفتش الصغير»، ضمن جهود لجنة مبادرة دعم العمل التطوعي بوزارة البلدية والبيئة، تحت شعار «سلامتك هي سلامتي». جاءت هذه الخطوة في إطار جهود الدولة للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا «كوفيد – 19»، بهدف توعية الأطفال بأهمية المحافظة على سلامة الأغذية داخل المنزل، وتدريبهم على أساسيات التعامل مع خدمات التوصيل، وطرق تعامل المفتش الصغير أثناء استلام المواد الغدائية من عامل التوصيل، والإجراءات اللازمة لضمان صلاحية الأغذية للاستهلاك الآدمي، من أجل غذاء آمن وسليم.
وقد جرى عقد «اجتماع عن بُعد» عبر خدمة البث المرئي مع عدد من الأطفال، للتواصل مع عدد من مفتشي الرقابة الصحية والغذائية، بحضور السيد ماجد برهان الزيدان -رئيس قسم الرقابة الصحية ببلدية الريان، وعضو لجنة مبادرة دعم العمل التطوعي- للحديث عن آلية التعامل مع المواد الغذائية التي تصل إلى المنزل عن طريق خدمات التوصيل، سواءً من المطاعم أم من مختلف المنشآت الغذائية، وكيفية التعامل الآمن معها، وتطبيق الاشتراطات الصحية السليمة اللازمة.
وقدّم السيد ماجد برهان الزيدان -رئيس قسم الرقابة الصحية ببلدية الريان، خلال الاجتماع عن بُعد- عدداً من الإرشادات العامة، منها: ضرورة أن يقوم المفتش الصغير بارتداء الكمامات والقفازات، والطريقة الصحيحة لارتدائهم، والتأكد من ارتداء عامل التوصيل أيضاً عند تسلم المواد الغذائية من باب المنزل، والتأكد من ترك مسافة أمان بينه وبين عامل التوصيل، ويطلب من العامل وضع الأكياس عند البوابة الرئيسية للمنزل من الداخل.
وتضمنت الإرشادات ضرورة التأكد من أن الأكياس والعبوات جميعها مغلقة وغير مفتوحة.
وأكد الزيدان أن الهدف من تدشين هذا المشروع هو تحقيق رؤية وزارة البلدية والبئية (غذاء آمن دائماً) من خلال إشراك فئة الأطفال في الخدمة المجتمعية، والاستفادة من طاقتهم الفعالة، بجعل لهم دور في محاربة هذا الوباء، لحمايتهم وأسرهم، وتعريفهم بأهم الاشتراطات الصحية اللازمة توفرها بالمواد الغذائية، لتكون آمنة بشكل كامل.
وأضاف أن هناك دوراً كبيراً على مشروع المفتش الصغير، لتغطية الجزء الذي لا يمكن للجهات الرقابية تغطيته في البيوت، حتى نضمن أن المادة الغذائية تصل للاستهلاك بشكل آمن 100 %.
وأشار إلى أن المشروع مستمر، ليشمل أكبر شريحة من الأطفال في المنازل، للاستفادة من طاقتهم الفعالة، من أجل نشر الوعي والثقافة الصحية، ومن أجل الوصول إلى مادة غذائية آمنة، حتى تزول هذه الأزمة.
