Qatari community contribute more than 78 million riyals to face coronavirus crisis

Head of the Support and Contribution Initiative Committee to combat coronavirus, Moza Khaled Al Muhannadi, has said that the government has done everything necessary either on the economic or social side since the beginning of the crisis to confront the coronavirus.

“There was also a patriotic feeling of social responsibility that motivated everyone. That is why many individuals and institutions have contributed in combating the spread of the COVID-19,” she said.

Speaking to Qatar TV, Moza Khaled Al Muhannadi, said that companies and individuals have made many contributions and financial contributions have exceeded more than QR78m. 

“The real estate contributions have reached more than 70 contributions in addition to many services contributions, where 150 companies offered their contribution.”

“An account has been created for all for their contribution,” she said. 

Giving more details about these contributions, she pointed out that among the most prominent companies that contributed financially was Qatar National Bank by QR50m; the company of Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al Bahr and his sons contributed QR10m; and the sons of Muhammad Jassim Al Kuwari contributed QR3m.

Al Muhannadi also said that real estate sector’s contributions were many and included hotels, resorts and others. “Among the companies include Katara Hospitality, Aspire Zone and others.”

كشفت السيدة موزة خالد المهندي رئيس فريق لجنة مبادرة الدعم والمساهمة لمكافحة فيروس كورونا للجنة العليا لإدارة الأزمات عن أن المساهمات المالية للمجتمع القطري تجاوزت أكثر من 78 مليون ريال قطري.

وقالت موزة المهندي – في مقابلة مع برنامج “المسافة الاجتماعية” على تليفزيون قطر مساء اليوم الأربعاء – “قامت الكثير من الشركات والأفراد، فمثلا المساهمات المالية تجاوزت أكثر من 78 مليون ريال، أما المساهمات العقارية وصلت لأكثر من 70 مساهمة، فيما وصلت المساهمات الخدمية إلى أكثر من 155 شركة .

وأضافت أن أبرز المساهمات كانت لبنك قطر الوطني الذي كان من أول المساهمين حيث ساهم 50 مليون ريال قطري كما كانت هناك مساهمات كبيرة من الأفراد.

وبالنسبة لمساهمات العقارات، أوضحت أن هناك الكثير من الخدمات المقدمة من الفنادق والمنتجعات، حيث فدمت “كتارا للضيافة” و”إسباير زون” ومجموعة “ريجنسي القابضة” بالاضافة إلى المجمعات السكنية مساهمات عقارية لمكافحة كورونا .

كما قدمت عدد من المؤسسات مساهمات خدمية، منها مؤسسة قطر الذي قدمت مليون قناع طبي ومليون قفاز، وكذلك “الريان للمطاعم” التي قدمت عددا من الوجبات.

وقالت السيدة موزة خالد المهندي : الحكومة لم تقصر منذ بداية أزمة كورونا في إتخاذ كل ما يلزم لمواجهة الفيروس من خلال تسخير إمكانياتها لمكافحة الوباء، لكن أفراد المجتمع والشركات استشعروا بمسؤوليتهم الاجتماعية وقاموا بهذه المساهمات من خلال مبادرة “المنصة” التي أعلنت عنها اللجنة لتنسيق التبرعات بين الأفراد والشركات .

وأوضحت أن “المنصة” تقوم بتقديم جميع المساهمات المالية والعقارية والخدمية وتهدف إلى تسجيل جميع مساهمات المجتمع القطري، وتحويل هذه المساهمات من خلال حساب خاص .
