Qatar Airways flew over 45,000 Britons home in March

At the time when the global aviation industry is struggling with cancellations and airport closures, Qatar Airways continues to fly thousands of travellers to their homes safely. Qatar’s national carrier helped over 45,000 British nationals to reach their homes in March. The airline has received appreciation from the United Kingdom for safe return of British nationals.
“Qatar Airways has helped over 45,000 Brits return home via Qatar in the last month. Spoke to my Qatari counterpart the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, this morning to pass on our gratitude to Qatar for their ongoing support to help thousands get back home,” tweeted James Cleverly, Britain’s Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, yesterday.
Qatar Airways is working tirelessly to ensure that those stranded abroad can fly home to their loved ones. The airline is working with governments around the world to maintain a strong schedule of flights, and organising charter flights where needed.
Last week, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Qatar, Hans-Udo Muzel, had also expressed his gratitude to Qatar Airways for flying thousands of Germans from all over Asia to their homes in Germany at this crucial time.
The multiple award-winning airlines has already helped to repatriate Pakistani, Filipino, Indian, Swiss, American, Canadian and French citizens as charters were organised by their respective governments for their citizens. In addition, it is ensuring that importers can maintain supplies of fresh produce and pharmaceuticals through Qatar Airways Cargo.
Recently, Omani authorities chose Qatar Airways to repatriate Omani students from Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America.
Qatar Airways has implemented robust policies to ensure the health and safety of its passengers and employees. As an airline, Qatar Airways maintains the highest possible hygiene standards, which include the regular disinfection of aircraft, the use of cleaning products recommended by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and thermal screening of crew.
In addition, Qatar Airways’ aircraft feature the most advanced air filtration systems, equipped with industrial-size HEPA filters that remove 99.97 percent of viral and bacterial contaminants from re-circulated air, providing the most effective protection against infection.
All the airline’s onboard linen and blankets are washed, dried and pressed at microbial lethal temperatures, while its headsets are removed of ear foams and rigorously sanitized after each flight. These items are then sealed into individual packaging by staff wearing hygienic disposable gloves.

وتُغسل جميع الأغطية والبطانيات على متن الخطوط الجوية القطرية وتجفف وتضغط في درجات حرارة قاتلة للميكروبات، بينما تُزال سماعاتها من رغاوي الأذن وتعقيمها بصرامة بعد كل رحلة. ثم يتم وضع هذه العناصر في عبوات فردية من قبل موظفين يرتدون قفازات صحية يمكن التخلص منها بالإضافة إلى ذلك تتميز طائرات الخطوط الجوية القطرية بأنظمة تنقية الهواء الأكثر تقدمًا، والمجهزة بفلاتر HEPA ذات الحجم الصناعي التي تزيل 99.97 في المائة من الملوثات الفيروسية والبكتيرية من الهواء المعاد تدويره، مما يوفر الحماية الأكثر فعالية ضد العدوى.
ويذكر ان الخطوط الجوية القطرية حازت على جائزة أفضل شركة طيران في العالم خلال حفل توزيع جوائز سكاي تراكس العالمية العام الماضي. كما حصدت جائزة أفضل شركة طيران في الشرق الأوسط وجائزة أفضل درجة رجال أعمال في العالم وجائزة أفضل مقعد على درجة رجال الأعمال عن مقاعد كيو سويت. وأصبحت الخطوط الجوية القطرية شركة الطيران الوحيدة التي تفوز بجائزة أفضل شركة طيران في العالم خمس مرات.
