Ministry issues 2nd edition of govt school evaluation guide

DOHA: The School Evaluation Office at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education issued the second edition of the evaluation guide of government schools, representing an updated and revised version of the first manual which was applied to schools in academic years 2016-17 and 2017-2018.
The second edition took into account the observations of the relevant departments of the Ministry, specialists and a range of schools, QNA has reported.
The new edition also included an adjustment of the time period in the periodic evaluation process according to the results of the evaluation of the school leadership area, as well as the addition of subjective meditation questions for each standard to help school leaders assess the quality of their schools’ performance in all areas.
With the beginning of the next academic year in September 2018, the School Evaluation Office will prepare training workshops for government schools to be evaluated during the 2018-2019 academic year, to introduce to them the standards of the handbook and the updated procedures.
The department called on school leaders to disseminate the guidance manual to all staff to ensure that they were familiar of the criteria on which the judgement is based during periodic evaluations, which will contribute to the continuity of performance improvement and quality enhancement.
أصدرت إدارة تقييم المدارس بوزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي “الدليل الإرشادي لتقييم المدارس الحكومية في طبعته الثانية ، ليمثل نسخة محدثة ومنقحة من الدليل الإرشادي الأول الذي طُبق على المدارس في العامين الأكاديميين 2017/2016 و2017-2018.
ومن أبرز ما تضمنته الطبعة الثانية، تحديث الدليل الإرشادي الأول مع الأخذ بملاحظات الإدارات المعنية بالوزارة والمختصين ومجموعة من المدارس ، وتعديل الفترة الزمنية في عملية التقييم الدوري حسب نتائج تقييم مجال القيادة المدرسية ، وذلك من حيث تقليصها وثباتها أو تمديدها وفقا للدرجة ومعيار التقييم الذي تحصلت عليه المدرسة ، فضلا عن إضافة أسئلة التأمل الذاتي لكل معيار لمساعدة القيادات المدرسية على تقييم جودة أداء مدارسها في كل المجالات.
وستقوم إدارة تقييم المدارس مع بداية العام الأكاديمي المقبل في سبتمبر 2018 ، بإعداد ورش تدريبية للمدارس الحكومية التي سيتم تقييمها خلال العام الأكاديمي 2018-2019 ، لتوعيتها بمعايير الدليل الإرشادي والإجراءات المحدثة.
وأهابت الإدارة بالقيادات المدرسية العمل على تعميم الدليل الإرشادي على جميع الموظفين والموظفات لضمان تعريفهم بالمعايير التي يتم الاستناد عليها في الحكم أثناء عمليات التقييم الدوري ، ما سيساهم في استمرارية تحسين الأداء و رفع جودته.
