Ministry of Public Health records a new death from the Coronavirus and 345 new cases

Ministry of Public Health today announces the registration of 345 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and the recovery of 46 cases of the disease, bringing the total cases of recovery in the State of Qatar to 510 cases. It also announced that an additional patient had sadly died from coronavirus taking the death toll from the virus to 8.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar till now stands at 5008 and there are 4490 active cases under treatment.
Ministry conducted 1811 tests in last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 60139 tests.
Most of the new cases of COVID-19 are due to people being in contact with existing cases among citizens and residents and a number of the new cases are among migrant workers. Some cases of the virus were discovered among citizens and residents. The new infected cases have been placed under complete isolation and they are receiving necessary medical care.
The Ministry also announces that a man, aged 59, who was infected with the Coronavirus, suffered an acute heart attack that led to his death. The Ministry extends condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased.
The Ministry of Public Health states that the noticeable increase in the number of confirmed new cases of infection is due to several reasons, including the fact that the spread of the virus has started to enter into the peak stage, which is the highest wave that affects the country, which may continue to increase for a period before it starts to decline. It is also due to the steady increase in efforts of the Ministry of Public Health and its medical teams to track the transmission chains of the Coronavirus and conduct intensive and proactive investigations of groups of contacts with people who were diagnosed with the disease previously. This has contributed to the early detection of many cases of infection and reducing the spread of the virus.
The Ministry of Public Health also requests all members of society to stay at home and cooperate fully with all health guidelines and preventive measures to reduce the risk of infection, including sticking to social and physical distancing guidelines. The Ministry also recommends that you regularly visit the MOPH website for the most up-to-date guidance on how to stay safe, including the guidelines related to the use of facemasks which was recently added on the site.

أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة اليوم عن تسجيل 345 حالة إصابة جديدة مؤكدة بفيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19)، وشفاء 46 حالة من المرض ليصل إجمالي حالات الشفاء في دولة قطر إلى 510 حالات، بالإضافة إلى تسجيل حالة وفاة.
وذكرت الوزارة في بيان لها بهذا الخصوص، أن معظم الحالات الجديدة تعود للعمالة الوافدة التي كان قد تم حجرها احترازيا من خلال التحري واثبات إمكانية أنهم اختلطوا بحالات ايجابية، في حين أن النسبة الأقل من الحالات تعود إلى مواطنين ومقيمين إما مخالطين داخل نفس الأسرة أو في إطار محيط العمل.
وقد تم ادخال الحالات المصابة الجديدة للعزل الصحي التام لتلقي الرعاية الطبية اللازمة.
وبتسجيل 46 حالة تماثلت للشفاء، يصل إجمالي حالات الشفاء من فيروس كورونا في دولة قطر إلى 510 حالات.
وكشفت وزارة الصحة العامة أن حالة الوفاة تعود لمواطن قطري مصاب بفيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19) ويبلغ من العمر 59 عاما حيث أصيب بأزمة قلبية حادة أدت إلى وفاته .. وتتقدم الوزارة بالتعازي والمواساة إلى أسرة المتوفى.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن الارتفاع الملحوظ لعدد حالات الإصابة الجديدة المؤكدة يعود لعدة أسباب منها أن انتشار الفيروس بدأ يدخل في مرحلة الذروة (أي أعلى موجة التي تصيب البلاد)، والتي قد تستمر في الزيادة لفترة قبل أن تبدأ بالانخفاض.
كما أن ارتفاع العدد يعود للزيادة المضطردة في جهود وزارة الصحة وفرقها الطبية لتتبع السلاسل الانتقالية لفيروس كورونا وتوسيع دائرة البحث، إضافة إلى إجراء فحوصات مكثفة واستباقية لمجموعات من المخالطين للأشخاص الذين تم تشخيص إصابتهم بالمرض سابقا، الأمر الذي أسهم في الكشف المبكر عن العديد من حالات الإصابة والحد من تفشي الفيروس بشكل أكبر.
ودعت وزارة الصحة العامة جميع أفراد المجتمع إلى ضرورة البقاء في المنزل وعدم الخروج إلا في حالات الضرورة والحرص التام على تطبيق الإجراءات الوقائية والمحافظة على البعد الاجتماعي والمسافة الآمنة من الآخرين للتقليل من احتمال إصابتهم بالفيروس.
كما أوصت بزيارة صفحتها الإلكترونية بشكل منتظم للاطلاع على آخر المعلومات والإرشادات المتعلقة بفيروس (كوفيد-19) بما فيها الدليل الإرشادي المتعلق باستخدام الكمام الطبي والذي تم إضافته مؤخرا على الموقع.
