Ministry of Education launches platform for distance learning

The Education Sector of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in cooperation with Eshraq Q Technology Company has launched ‘Mzeed’ online learning platform.
The platform offers digital and interactive resources prepared by a qualified team of teachers, early education mentors and curricula specialists, said the Ministry in a release.
Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, H E Fawzia Al Khater, said that the platform contains interactive books, textbooks in PDF format, video, audio and many other digital learning materials. She said that these are the supportive sources to enrich the student’s learning as an added value to the platform of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Al Khater said that the new platform will boost the learning process of the students and it will provide more explanation in an interesting interactive way to serve students and support them in the distance education system, without the constant need to connect to the Internet.
The content can be browsed and viewed through all fixed and portable devices (laptop – tablet – smart phone devices, through Internet browsers, and apps of iOS and Android ).
Al Khater noted that the platform includes various contents for the students of grade 1, 2 and 12.
The textbook will be in PDF format, enabling students to make notes, underline the important topics and paragraphs among many other options
The platform includes interactive units (interactive book units, including videos, competitions, and self-assessments) according to the weekly teaching plan (for some classes), in addition to educational videos and audio clips.
It also includes interactive teaching units and option to revise science and mathematics subjects of senior secondary classes. The platform can be accessed through the link: https://mzeedqatar.com/, or ‘Mzeed’ application at Apple and Android.

أطلقت وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي، ممثلة في قطاع شؤون التعليم، منصة “مزيد” التعليمية بما تحتويه من مصادر رقمية وتفاعلية متنوعة من إعداد فريق متميز من المعلمين وموجهي التعليم المبكر واختصاصي المناهج.
وأشارت السيدة فوزية الخاطر وكيل الوزارة المساعد للشؤون التعليمية إلى أن هذه المنصة التي تم إطلاقها بالتعاون مع شركة “اشراق كيو” للتكنولوجيا ، تحتوي على كتب تفاعلية، والكتب المدرسية بصيغة PDF، والفيديوهات المرئية والصوتية، والعناصر الرقمية، والتي تشكل مصادر داعمة تثري تعلم الطالب ولا تغنيه عن منصة وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي، بل ستكون داعما لباقي الحلول التي طرحتها الوزارة بحيث تثري تعلم الطالب وتقدم له المزيد من الشروحات والتقييمات الإثرائية بطرق تفاعلية مشوقة ومحدثة باستمرار بهدف خدمة الطلاب ودعمهم في فترة التعليم عن بعد، وكل ذلك دون الحاجة الدائمة للاتصال بالإنترنت.
وأوضحت أنه يمكن تصفح المحتوى والاطلاع عليه من خلال جميع الأجهزة الثابتة والمحمولة (اللابتوب – التابلت – أجهزة الهواتف الذكية، عبر متصفحات الإنترنت، وتطبيقات أجهزة أبل، وأجهزة أندرويد).
ونوهت إلى أن المنصة تضم محتوى متنوعا للمستويات الصفية الأول والثاني والثاني عشر مثل الكتاب المدرسي بصيغة PDF، ويشتمل على أدوات تسهل على الطالب وضع ملحوظاته وتظليل الموضوعات والفقرات التي يراها مهمة، وغيرها من الأدوات، وكذا وحدات الكتاب بصورة تفاعلية وتضم فيديوهات ومسابقات وتقييمات ذاتية وفق خطة التدريس الأسبوعية لبعض الصفوف بالإضافة للفيديوهات التعليمية والمقاطع الصوتية ووحدات تعليمية تفاعلية ومراجعات مكثفة للثانوية العامة في مواد العلوم والرياضيات.
