Qatar Takes Over Presidency of Arab Ambassadors Council in Vienna

Vienna: The State of Qatar took over the presidency of the current session of the Arab Ambassadors Council in Vienna. HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Austria Sultan bin Salmeen Al-Mansoori chaired the meeting of the Council, which was held remotely.
At the outset of the meeting, members of the Council of Arab Ambassadors congratulated the Qatari ambassador on assuming the presidency of the Council, stressing their readiness to cooperate with him in a way that supports the drive of joint Arab action.
Members of the Council also commended the great success achieved by the State of Qatar in hosting the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, in preparation for organizing of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
For his part, HE Ambassador Sultan bin Salmeen Al-Mansoori affirmed his keenness on making the Council’s work a success and on supporting the Arab-Austrian relations.
They reviewed the most important issues on the agenda, most notably preparation for the session of the Board of Governors of the International Energy Agency, scheduled for next March, preparation for the first Arab conference on the role of Arab migrant health competencies in supporting health systems in Arab countries, which will be held in Cairo on March 16, in addition to the results of the ninth session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh last December.

فيينا: تسلمت دولة قطر رئاسة الدورة الحالية لمجلس السفراء العرب في فيينا، حيث ترأس سعادة السيد سلطان بن سالمين المنصوري سفير دولة قطر لدى جمهورية النمسا الاتحادية، اجتماع المجلس، الذي عقد عن بعد.
وفي بداية الاجتماع، قدم أعضاء مجلس السفراء العرب التهنئة للسفير القطري على تولي رئاسة المجلس، مؤكدين استعدادهم للتعاون مع سعادته وبما يدعم مسيرة العمل العربي المشترك.
كما أثنى أعضاء المجلس على النجاح الكبير الذي حققته دولة قطر باستضافتها بطولة كأس العرب FIFA قطر 2021، استعداداً لتنظيم كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022.
ومن جانبه، أكد سعادة السفير سلطان بن سالمين المنصوري، حرصه على إنجاح عمل المجلس ودعم العلاقات العربية النمساوية.
واستعرض أعضاء المجلس، خلال الاجتماع، أهم القضايا المطروحة على جدول الأعمال، وأبرزها التحضير لدورة مجلس محافظي الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية المقررة في شهر مارس المقبل، والإعداد للمؤتمر العربي الأول حول دور الكفاءات الصحية العربية المهاجرة في دعم النظم الصحية في الدول العربية الذي سيعقد في القاهرة يوم 16 مارس المقبل، إضافة الى مراجعة نتائج الدورة التاسعة لمؤتمر الدول الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد التي عقدت في /شرم الشيخ/ في ديسمبر الماضي.
