Doha Craft delivers First cabin boat built at Umm Alhoul Free Zones factory

Doha Craft Boat Manufacturing, a leading Qatari boat producer and repairer with operations in Qatar Free Zones, on Monday delivered the first of 10 boats manufactured to date at its factory in Umm Alhoul Free Zone.
The factory is based in MARSA port and marine cluster, a fully integrated marine ecosystem within the zone which facilitates activities including boat brokerage and maritime research, as well as ship building and maintenance.
“We are proud in the free zones to provide all means of support for the Qatari private sector to enable it to play an effective role in advancing economic development. The private sector is one of our priorities,” said QFZA Deputy CEO Abdullah al-Misnad. He added, “Doha Craft was the first company to join our MARSA port, and it has made tremendous progress. It is an example of the capabilities of the Qatari private sector and the support it enjoys.”
Rashid Hamad Al Meadadi, Managing Director, Doha Craft Boat Manufacturing, said, “This is an exciting milestone for Doha Craft, as we deliver our first boat built in our Qatar Free Zones factory to a foreign buyer. I am particularly proud that we were able to finish this project despite the challenging circumstances in our world today; it is testament to the dedication and perseverance of Qatari investors and the great, business-friendly environment provided by Qatar Free Zones Authority.”
Doha Craft manufactures pleasure craft, military and police boats from its factory in Umm Alhoul. It is currently in the process of expanding its operations, and expects to reach a production capacity of fifty boats a year. The company was one of the earliest tenants in Qatar Free Zones, joining MARSA last year. MARSA has a 1.6 km long, 500 meter wide draught and a total of 3 km of quay wall, allowing it to service ships up to 70 meters long.
Since its establishment in 2018, Qatar Free Zones has approved projects worth a total of more than three billion Qatari Riyals (approximately one billion USD) from a wide range of leading local and global companies focused on the new economy, sustainability, IT, communications, transport, logistics, medical services, aviation, cybersecurity, and agritech.

أعلنت شركة دوحة كرافت لتصنيع القوارب، عن تسليم أول قارب من عشرة قوارب تم بناؤها حتى الآن في مصنع الشركة القائم في منطقة أم الحول الحرة بمجمع مرسى البحري في أم الحول.
وتعد /دوحة كرافت/ شركة قطرية مختصة في مجال تصنيع وتصليح القوارب مسجلة لدى هيئة المناطق الحرة، فيما يعد مجمع مرسى البحري في أم الحول بنية بحرية متكاملة ضمن منطقة أم الحول الحرة، لدعم أنشطة صناعة تطوير القوارب والأبحاث البحرية، فضلا عن بناء السفن وصيانتها.
وقال السيد عبدالله حمد المسند، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة المناطق الحرة، إن الهيئة تفتخر بتقديم كافة سبل الدعم والتسهيلات للقطاع الخاص القطري لتمكينه من أداء دوره والمساهمة في دفع عجلة التنمية بالدولة.. مبينا أن الإنجاز الذي حققته شركة دوحة كرافت يعكس قوة الإمكانيات التي يمتلكها القطاع الخاص القطري والدعم الذي يحظى به.
من جانبه، قال السيد راشد حمد المعضادي، المدير العام لشركة دوحة كرافت لتصنيع القوارب، إن تسليم الشركة لأول قارب تم بناؤه في مصنعها بالمناطق الحرة إلى مشتر أجنبي، إنجاز استثنائي تضيفه الشركة إلى سجل إنجازاتها.. موضحا أن استكمال هذا المشروع رغم الظروف العصيبة التي يمر بها عالم اليوم، يعكس إصرار وتفاني المستثمرين القطريين ويسلط الضوء على بيئة الأعمال المتميزة التي توفرها هيئة المناطق الحرة في قطر.
وتقوم شركة دوحة كرافت لتصنيع القوارب بتصنيع قوارب الترفيه فضلا عن القوارب والطرادات العسكرية وتلك التي يستخدمها خفر السواحل، وذلك في مصنعها بمنطقة أم الحول الحرة، فيما تسعى الشركة في الوقت الراهن إلى توسعة عملياتها وتتوقع أن تصل سعتها الإنتاجية إلى خمسين قاربا في السنة.
يذكر أن الشركة كانت من بين أولى الشركات التي أسست مصنعها في المناطق الحرة، حيث انضمت العام الماضي إلى ميناء مرسى الذي يبلغ طوله 1,6 كيلومتر، ويبلغ عرض الغاطس 500 متر، فيما يبلغ إجمالي طول جدار رصيف الميناء 3 كيلومترات، مما يتيح استيعاب سفن بطول يصل إلى 70 مترا.
