Ali Bin Towar: “Footsteps of traveler 5” carries a lot of surprises

Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar TV will air the fifth part of the program “footsteps of traveler 5”, which lands travellers in Europe to discover the causes of its renaissance and the impact of Islamic civilization. The first episode which aired on the evening of the day before yesterday dealt with extensive information on the emergence of the European Union and the pillars of its success and continuity as one of the most successful unions in the world.

The new season of the program was based on the book “The Prince”, by Niccolò Machiavelli which includes theories and events that contributed to the transfer of Europe to the Renaissance, and stopped at the most prominent features of this renaissance, and its secrets.

In an interview with (Al-Sharq) the traveler Ali Bin Towar Alkuwari revealed that the success achieved by the program in its past seasons makes it reassuring on the percentage of watching in this season, especially in the light of the home quarantine imposed by the Corona pandemic (Covid-19), stressing that the secret to success lies in the mutual trust between the program and viewers, and the keenness of Qatar Media Corporation to support and enhance this trust by improving the quality of work, and presenting it in a distinctive form and useful content.

Ali Bin Towar said that the program is supported directly by H.E. Sheikh AbdulRahman bin Hamad Al Thani, CEO of Qatar Media Corporation, who visited the site of the filming of “footsteps of traveler 5” last January, stressing that His Excellency is interested in young people and making many stars, and that he is also interested in diversity whether in the field of health, economy, politics or any other field.

“Qatar Media Corporation is keen to study what the community requires to implement, as it chooses travel destinations based on many criteria and purposes, the most important of which is to take care of the local side of countries friendly to Qatar,” he said.

An exceptional experience

Ali Bin Towar described the experience of the fifth part of “footsteps of traveler 5” as exceptional, noting that Europe is a challenge for him, because the information about this continent is not new to viewers, unlike previous seasons that were about Latin America and China where most of the information he provided is new to the viewer

He said: Because of Europe’s proximity to the Qatari and Arab visitor, he knows a lot about this country, so I said that it is a kind of challenge to look for deep information through the program and information that most people do not know, so we went deep into the causes of the establishment of the European Union and the European system, which is one of the most successful systems in the world, and thanks to God we were able to reach some important references on which we relied mainly to convey information, as the program “footsteps of traveler 5” became a source of information, Qatar University and some of the Our embassies abroad consider it to be that way as well, so we are very keen to pick information from several sources.

Ali Bin Towar expressed his surprise and happiness also with the Islamic presence in Europe, an influential presence where it contributed to the transfer of Europe from the era of darkness that prevailed to the age of lights, and continued: I was amazed by the Islamic and Arab influence in almost all sectors, and also the Ottoman presence in Italy where we saw a lot of Ottoman drawings I will cover in a special series in the program about Andalusia in four episodes.

Ali Bin Towar pointed out that the distinctive personality in the program is the bicycle that accompanied him since the first part for several objectives, including marketing the healthy bike and marketing an environmentally friendly and healthy sport, and also in order to attract more spectators to the bicycle, which he considers an integral part of the program. In the fifth part, he said, he did not notice the curiosity of Europeans about his bicycle use because they were very much in the sport, but he had encountered difficulties in China because of the roughness of some places. He stressed that the fifth part of the program carries a lot of surprises.

يعرض تلفزيون قطر طيلة شهر رمضان المبارك الجزء الخامس من برنامج “خطى الرحالة” الذي يحط الرحال في أوروبا ليكتشف أسباب نهضتها وأثر الحضارة الإسلامية فيها. وقد تناولت الحلقة الأولى مساء أمس الأول معلومات واسعة عن نشأة الاتحاد الأوروبي، ودعائم نجاحه واستمراريته كواحد من أنجح الاتحادات في العالم.

الموسم الجديد من البرنامج استند فيه مقدمه علي بن طوار الكواري إلى كتاب “الأمير” لنيكولو مكيافيلي، الذي يتضمن نظريات وأحداثا ساهمت في نقل أوروبا الى عصر النهضة، وتوقف عند أبرز ملامح هذه النهضة، وأسرارها.

في لقاء مع (الشرق) كشف الرحالة علي بن طوار الكواري أن النجاح الذي حققه البرنامج في مواسمه الماضية يجعله مطمئنا على نسب المشاهدة في هذا الموسم خاصة في ظل الحجر المنزلي الذي فرضته جائحة كورونا (كوفيد ـ 19)، مؤكدا أن سر النجاح يكمن في الثقة المتبادلة بين البرنامج والمشاهدين، وحرص المؤسسة القطرية للإعلام على دعم هذه الثقة وتعزيزها بتحسين جودة العمل، وتقديمه في شكل مميز ومحتوى مفيد.

وقال علي بن طوار إن البرنامج يحظى بدعم مباشر من سعادة الشيخ عبدالرحمن بن حمد آل ثاني الرئيس التنفيذي للمؤسسة القطرية للإعلام، الذي زار موقع تصوير “خطى الرحالة” في شهر يناير الماضي، مؤكدا أن سعادته مهتم بالشباب وصنع الكثير من النجوم، وأنه مهتم كذلك بالتنوع سواء في مجال الصحة أو الاقتصاد أو السياسة أو في أي مجال آخر.

ولفت علي بن طوار الى أن “المؤسسة القطرية للإعلام تحرص على دراسة ما يتطلبه المجتمع لتنفيذه، فهي التي تختار وجهات السفر بناء على العديد من المعايير والأغراض أهمها الاهتمام بالجانب المحلي لبلدان صديقة لدولة قطر”.

تجربة استثنائية

وصف علي بن طوار تجربة الجزء الخامس من “خطى الرحالة” بالاستثنائية، مشيرا إلى أن أوروبا تعتبر تحديا بالنسبة له، لأن المعلومات عن هذه القارة ليست جديدة على المشاهدين، عكس المواسم السابقة التي كانت عن أمريكا اللاتينية والصين حيث معظم المعلومات التي قدمها جديدة على المشاهد

وقال: بحكم قرب أوروبا من الزائر القطري والعربي فهو يعرف الكثير عن هذه البلاد، لذلك قلت إنه نوع من التحدي أن نبحث عن معلومة عميقة من خلال البرنامج والمعلومة التي لا يعلمها غالبية الناس، لذلك تعمقنا في صلب أسباب قيام الاتحاد الأوروبي والنظام الأوروبي الذي يعتبر من أنجح الأنظمة في العالم، وبفضل من الله استطعنا أن نصل الى بعض المراجع المهمة التي استندنا اليها بشكل أساسي لنقل المعلومة، حيث إن برنامج “خطى الرحالة” أصبح مصدرا للمعلومة، وتعتبره جامعة قطر وبعض سفاراتنا في الخارج كذلك، لذلك نحرص كل الحرص على انتقاء المعلومة من عدة مصادر.

وأعرب علي بن طوار عن دهشته وسعادته أيضا بالتواجد الإسلامي في أوروبا، وهو تواجد مؤثر حيث ساهم في نقل أوروبا من عصر الظلمات الذي كان سائدا الى عصر الأنوار، وتابع: اندهشت للأثر الإسلامي والعربي في جميع القطاعات تقريبا، وأيضا الوجود العثماني في إيطاليا حيث رأينا الكثير من الرسومات العثمانية سأنقلها في سلسلة خاصة في البرنامج عن الأندلس في أربع حلقات.

ولفت علي بن طوار الى أن الشخصية المميزة في البرنامج هي الدراجة الهوائية التي رافقته منذ الجزء الأول لعدة أهداف منها تسويق الدراجة الصحية ومن ثم تسويق رياضة صديقة للبيئة وصحية، وأيضا بغرض جذب المشاهد أكثر للدراجة الهوائية التي يعتبرها جزءا لا يتجزأ من البرنامج. وقال إنه لم يلاحظ في الجزء الخامس فضول الأوروبيين تجاه استخدامه للدراجة الهوائية كونهم يمارسون هذه الرياضة بشكل كبير، ولكنه واجه صعوبات في الصين بسبب وعورة بعض الأماكن.. مؤكدا أن الجزء الخامس من البرنامج يحمل الكثير من المفاجآت.
