Ahlibank reports net profit of QR180.4m

Doha: Ahli Bank (Ahlibank) has recorded a net profit of QR180.4m for the first three months of 2020, an increase of 1.7 percent or QR2.9m over the same period last year.   

Sheikh Faisal bin Abdul Aziz bin Jassem Al Thani, Chairman and Managing Director of Ahlibank, said: “Our first quarter earnings is a testimony to the fact that our Fortress Balance Sheet strategy is working very well. All key metrics like Capital, Liquidity and Asset Quality demonstrate our strength and prepare us very well to deal with unprecedented situation caused by the global pandemic COVID-19. 

We also maintained high levels of stable and long term funding and strong capital levels with the Bank’s Capital Adequacy Ratio standing above 17 percent as of March 2020. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the bank immediately committed to take all preventive measures to protect the health and safety of all our customers and employees, while maintaining the best customer service levels and encouraging customers to use alternative digital channels to complete their banking services from the comfort and safety of their home.”

The Chairman added: “We take this opportunity to thank our customers for their continuous loyalty towards Ahlibank, shareholders for their ongoing commitment, management and staff for all their dedication and Qatar Central Bank for their esteemed guidance and support.”

بزيادة قدرها 1.7 % خلال الربع الأول

أعلن البنك الأهلي عن تحقيقه ربحاً صافياً بقيمة 180.4 مليون ريال قطري في الربع الأول من عام 2020 بزيادة قدرها 1.7% أو 2.9 مليون ريال قطري مقارنة بالفترة ذاتها من العام الماضي، وتعليقاً على النتائج، صرَح الشيخ فيصل بن عبدالعزيز بن جاسم آل ثاني -رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب للبنك الأهلي- قائلاً: “أرباحنا في الربع الأول هي دليل على ثبات إستراتيجية الميزانية العمومية وأدائها بشكل جيد.

وتدل المؤشرات الرئيسية مثل رأس المال والسيولة وجودة الأصول على قوَتنا واستعدادنا جيدًا للتعامل مع المواقف غير المتوقعة التي سببتها الجائحة العالمية COVID-19 كما حافظنا على مستويات عالية من التمويل المستقر والطويل الأجل ومستويات رأسمالية قوية وسط ظروف السوق الصعبة، حيث بلغت نسبة كفاية رأس المال في البنك 17٪ اعتباراً من مارس 2020.

وتماشياً مع الإجراءات الاحترازية لوباء COVID-19، التزم البنك على الفور باتخاذ جميع التدابير الوقائية لحماية صحة وسلامة جميع عملائنا وموظفينا، مع الحفاظ على أفضل مستويات خدمة للعملاء وتشجيعهم على إجراء معاملاتهم المصرفية عبر القنوات الإلكترونية من المنزل حفاظاً على صحتهم وسلامتهم، وأضاف رئيس مجلس الإدارة قائلاً: “أودَ أن أشكر عملاءنا على ولائهم، والمساهمين على ثقتهم في مهمَتنا، والإدارة والموظفين على تفانيهم وعملهم الدؤوب، وأشكر مصرف قطر المركزي على دعمه وإرشاده المتواصل لنا.
