MoCI suspends auctions at Umm Salal Fish Market

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) in coordination with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, has announced to suspend the auctions at Umm Salal Fish Market from today until further notice as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The Ministry announced it on its Twitter account yesterday. MoCI has also temporarily suspended the activities of street vendors. “The Ministry notifies street vendors of its decision to halt sales, as well as the provision of all services, in a bid to ensure public safety in light of the current health circumstances across the country,” the Ministry tweeted yesterday. The Ministry asked people to avoid visiting in person to customer service centres and government service complexes and use electronic services of the Ministry for the transactions.

أعلنت وزارة التجارة والصناعة بالتنسيق مع وزارة البلدية والبيئة إيقاف البيع بالمزادات بسوق أم صلال للأسماك اعتباراً من اليوم الأحد وحتى إشعار آخر كإجراء احترازى . وقالت فى تغريدة على حسابها على تويتر إن هذا الإجراء فى إطار الأوضاع الصحية الراهنة وتماشياً مع الإجراءات الوقائية للحد من أسباب العدوى بفيروس كورونا ( كوفيد -19).
كما أعلنت وزارة التجارة والصناعة إيقاف بيع وخدمات الباعة الجائلين بصفة مؤقته نظراً للأوضاع الراهنة وحرصاً على سلامة الجميع. وحذرت الباعة المتجولين المخالفين من التعرض للمساءلة القانونية.
وفى السياق ذاته دعت وزارة التجارة والصناعة الجمهور لتجنب المراجعة المباشرة لمركز خدمة العملاء ومجمعات الخدمات الحكومية والاستفادة من الخدمات الإلكترونية، مشيرة إلى حرصها على سلامة المراجعين من المواطنين والمقيمين.
