Qatar Airways and Bulgaria Air sign codeshare agreement

Doha: Qatar Airways announced that it has signed a codeshare agreement with Bulgaria Air. Sales will start from today with the first codeshare flights to operate from March 2.
The agreement will provide an opportunity to visit new destinations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and travelers with Qatar Airways will be able to reach two new destinations in Bulgaria, which are Varna and Bourgas.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive H E Akbar Al Baker said: “This agreement with Bulgaria Air follows other recent partnership announcements we have made with airlines across the world, demonstrating our commitment to working with our peers to provide passengers seamless connectivity and unrivalled service.”
Bulgaria Air Chief Executive Officer Hristo Todorov said: “It is a great pleasure for Bulgaria Air to add Qatar Airways to its partnership network, which is undoubtedly one of the most respected and prestigious airlines in the world. We are delighted that they have chosen us as a partner enabling our pas-sengers to travel quickly and conveniently to over 170 destinations with Qatar Airways.
“This cooperation is only a part of our long-term development strategy and we are happy to welcome the passengers of Qatar Airways onboard our aircraft.” he added.
Qatar Airways first launched services to Sofia, Bulgaria on 22 September 2011 beginning with a four times weekly service. In the years since, due to the strong demand by travellers, the service has grown to 14 weekly flights.
Bulgaria Air is the largest Bulgarian airline and national carrier of the Republic of Bulgaria. It performs direct flights to 25 cities in Europe, including domestic flights to Varna and Bourgas.
أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن إبرام اتفاقية الرمز المشترك مع طيران بلغاريا، بحيث يبدأ بيع التذاكر فوراً، لتنطلق أول رحلة بالرمز المشترك بتاريخ 2 مارس 2020.
وسوف يحظى المسافرون مع طيران بلغاريا بموجب هذه الاتفاقية بالفرصة لزيارة وجهات جديدة في إفريقيا وآسيا والشرق الأوسط. كما سيتمكن المسافرون مع الخطوط الجوية القطرية من الوصول إلى وجهتين جديدتين في بلغاريا، هما فارنا وبورغاس.
وقال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: «تأتي اتفاقية الرمز المشترك مع طيران بلغاريا عقب إعلان الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن عدة شراكات أبرمتها مع شركات طيران دولية، وذلك في إطار التزامنا بالعمل مع نظرائنا لتمكين المسافرين من زيارة المزيد من الوجهات وتجربة خدمات لا تضاهى».
من جانبه، قال السيد خريستو تودوروف، الرئيس التنفيذي لطيران بلغاريا: «يسرّ طيران بلغاريا تعزيز شبكة شراكاتها عن طريق التعاون مع الخطوط الجوية القطرية التي تعدّ إحدى شركات الطيران المرموقة على مستوى العالم. كما يسرّنا أن نصبح أحد شركاء هذه الناقلة، وإبرام اتفاقية شراكة معها، مما سيمكّن مسافرينا من السفر بيسر وسهولة إلى أكثر من 170 وجهة مع الخطوط الجوية القطرية. إن هذا التعاون ليس إلا جزءاً من استراتيجيتنا التنموية طويلة الأمد، ونتطلع إلى الترحيب بمسافري الخطوط الجوية القطرية على متن طائراتنا».
وأطلقت «القطرية» أولى رحلاتها إلى مدينة صوفيا في بلغاريا في 22 سبتمبر 2011، مع أربع رحلات أسبوعياً. ونظراً للإقبال المتزايد من قِبَل المسافرين في الأعوام التالية، زادت الناقلة من عدد رحلاتها إلى صوفيا إلى 14 رحلة أسبوعياً.
