Completion of the artificial lake at Darb Al Saai

إنجاز البحيرة الصناعية في درب الساعي

More than 70 percent of the preparations for Qatar’s National Day have been completed at Darb Al Saai, the main venue for the celebrations.

According to the organizing committee, everything will be ready on the 10th of this month, and two days later the activities will officially begin, which will extend until after the 18th, the date of the national holiday.

Traditional shops, food and beverage outlets, children’s competitions and games, cultural presentations, exhibitions and educational activities are included in what will be a kind of giant fair for the enjoyment of families, which will open its doors every day during the afternoon and evening.

Organizations present at the previous edition will repeat their participation this year in the different pavilions set up in the area, while new ones have been added, including the Ministry of Culture and Sports, with a broad proposal, according to the organizers.

Around 30 institutions from the governmental and non-governmental sector exhibited in 2018, and it is expected that in this edition that number will be surpassed.

Among the main attractions in the Doha Pavilion, some 15 organizations will showcase their products and services, while the Ministry of the Interior will again offer welcome training sessions for children, including practice shooting and skydiving conducted by professionals. The Al Shaqab equestrian club also returns, with demonstrations and rides for those who love horses; and as a novelty, work is being done on an artificial lake.

تستمر الاستعدادات على قدم وساق لإنهاء جميع الخدمات وتجهيز الخيام والأجنحة في موقع درب الساعي، وجار العمل على انهاء كافة التجهيزات ووضع اللمسات الأخيرة بالموقع، حيث انجاز البحيرة الصناعية التي تقع قبالة سارية العلم، وستكون لأول مرة موقع الاحتفالات في درب الساعي.

وقد تم اكتمال أكثر من 90% من درب الساعي، حيث تحول الموقع إلى خلية نحل، لإكمال كافة الاجنحة والمواقع التابعة لهيئات ومؤسسات الدولة المختلفة، والتي تشارك في فعاليات درب الساعي، وذلك استعدادا لاحتفالات اليوم الوطني، والذي يصادف يوم الثامن عشر من ديسمبر كل عام، حيث انتهت اللجنة المنظمة لاحتفالات اليوم الوطني للدولة من التجهيزات اللازمة المعتمدة والمقررة بحسب المخططات النهائية للموقع، وذلك من خلال توزيع الجهات المشاركة على الموقع، إذ يتم العمل في الوقت الحالي على وضع اللمسات الاخيرة، حيث يشمل الخيام والاستوديوهات التلفزيونية ومنصات مختلفة وخياما أخرى مخصصة للفعاليات، مثل خيمة الدوحة التي يشارك فيها عدد من مؤسسات وجهات الدولة كل عام، بالإضافة إلى فعالية النصع وغيرها، علاوة على الخيام الأخرى للسوق والمطاعم.
