Ministry of Economy and Commerce spots 91 violations in April
الاقتصاد والتجارة تضبط 91 مخالفة خلال ابريل الماضي
Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce carried out intensive inspections last April to monitor the compliance of shops with their obligations under the Consumer Protection Law.
The campaign resulted in the seizure and issuance of 91 violations, which ranging from not advertising prices, no Arabic translation in bills, announcing sales without prior permission and failing to commit to prices of vegetables and fruits bulletin.
The inspection campaigns are within the efforts undertaken by the Ministry’s keenness on monitoring markets and commercial activities in the country with the aim of controlling prices and detecting violations in order to protect the rights of consumers.
The penalties for these violations range between administrative closure and financial fines ranging between QR5000 to QR30000, according to the laws and decisions governing the work of consumer protection department.
The Ministry affirmed that it will be firm in the face of all those who neglect to carry out their obligations under the Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations. The Ministry also will intensify its inspection campaigns to control such practices and will transfer those violating the laws and ministerial decisions to the competent authorities to take appropriate measures against them.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce urged all consumers to report any irregularities or violations through its communication channels. (QNA)
قامت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة خلال شهر ابريل 2018 بحملات تفتيشية مكثفة لمراقبة مدى تقيد المزودين (المحال التجارية) بالتزاماتهم المنصوص بالقانون رقم (8) لسنة 2008 بشأن حماية المستهلك، وذلك في إطار حرص الوزارة على مراقبة الأسواق والأنشطة التجارية بالدولة بهدف ضبط الأسعار والكشف عن التجاوزات حفاظاً على حماية حقوق المستهلكين.
وأسفرت الحملات التفتيشية عن ضبط (91) مخالفة مختلفة تنوعت بين عدم الإعلان عن الأسعار وعدم اصدار فواتير باللغة العربية، وعدم التحديد بطريقة واضحة بيانات الخدمة ومميزاتها وخصائصها واسعارها، وعدم الالتزام بضمان الخدمة الى قام بها خلال فترة زمنية تتناسب مع طبيعة تلك الخدمة وإعادة المبلغ الذي دفعه متلقي الخدمة او بأدائها مرة اخرى ، وإقامة تخفيضات بدون الحصول على الترخيص، وعدم الالتزام بأسعار النشرة الجبرية للخضروات والفواكه .
هذا وتتراوح العقوبات على المحلات المخالفة ما بين الإغلاق الإداري والغرامات المالية التي تتراوح ما بين 5000 ريال الى 30000 ريال حسب القوانين والقرارات المنظمة لعمل إدارة حماية المستهلك.
وتؤكد الوزارة أنها ستكون حازمة في وجه كل من يتهاون في القيام بالتزاماته بقانون حماية المستهلك ولائحته التنفيذية، كما ستكثف حملاتها التفتيشية لضبط مثل هذه الممارسات وستحيل كل من يخالف القوانين والقرارات الوزارية المنظمة لعمل الإدارة إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة ضده وذلك حماية لحقوق المستهلكين.
