Ashghal invites local contractors to form alliances with international companies to implement Sharq Crossing project

«أشغال» تدعو المقاولين المحليين لتشكيل تحالفات مع شركات عالمية لتنفيذ مشروع «معبر شرق»

Doha: As per directives of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) invited local companies to attend a briefing session on the launch of Sharq Crossing project with the aim of forming alliances with international companies to implement the vital project.

The session included a presentation on the project details and the timetable for launching the project and its implementation to start their preparations and submit their requests to tender through forming a partnership and alliance between local and international companies.

On this occasion, HE President of Ashghal Dr. Eng. Saad bin Ahmed Al Muhannadi said, “We trust local contractors and their ability to form an alliance to implement this project with the required quality and time, as this is the first of its kind in Qatar, which will cause a qualitative shift in traffic.”

Engineer Yousef Al Emadi, Projects Affairs Director, confirmed that the contractors were invited to enter and compete for the Sharq Crossing project and to define the required schedule for the project where local companies are to form an alliance with international companies and provide a list of those alliances in mid-January to start offering the project to tender in February, the project starts implementation in the third quarter of 2020.

The Sharq Crossing is considered one of the most important infrastructure projects in Qatar and is considered a strategic hub for the main roads in the country, as it consists of bridges that connect to each other through a water tunnel with a total length of 12 km above sea level, linking Ras Bu Abboud Street and the West Bay area.

Sharq Crossing will also serve many vital areas, including the 2022 World Cup stadiums, such as the Ras Bu Abboud stadium and Lusail stadium.

With the completion of the project, road pioneers from Ras Bu Abboud will be able to reach the West Bay in about seven minutes.

The project also contains construction elements, which include the implementation of bridges and roads with lateral inclinations, in addition to a water tunnel up to 1 km in length to ensure the continuity of the navigation movement of ships in a smooth manner without hindering the passage of ships over the tunnel.

بناءً على توجيهات معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، وجهت هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” دعوة للشركات المحلية لحضور جلسة تعريفية عن تدشين مشروع معبر شرق بهدف تشكيل تحالفات مع شركات عالمية لتنفيذ المشروع الحيوي.

تضمنت الجلسة عرض تقديمي عن تفاصيل المشروع والجدول الزمني لطرح المشروع وبدء تنفيذه لبدء استعدادتهم وتقديم طلباتهم للمناقصة من خلال تشكيل شراكة وتحالف بين شركات محلية ودولية .

وبهذه المناسبة، أكد سعادة الدكتور المهندس سعد بن أحمد المهندي، رئيس هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال على ثقتنا بالمقاولين المحليين وقدرتهم على تشكيل تحالف لتنفيذ هذا المشروع بالجودة والوقت المطلوب حيث يعتبر الأول من نوعه في قطر والذي سيحدث نقلة نوعية في حركة المرور.

من جهته، أكد المهندس يوسف العمادي، مدير شؤون المشروعات، أنه تم دعوة المقاولين للدخول والمنافسة لمشروع معبر شرق والتعريف بالجدول الزمني المطلوب للمشروع حيث من المقرر أن تقوم الشركات المحلية بتشكيل تحالف مع شركات دولية وتقديم قائمة بتلك التحالفات منتصف يناير لبدء طرح المشروع للمناقصة في فبراير وبدء تنفيذ المشروع في الربع الثالث من 2020.

يعتبر معبر شرق أحد أهم مشاريع البنية التحتية في قطر ويعتبر محور ربط إستراتيجي للطرق الرئيسية في الدولة حيث يتكون من جسور تتصل ببعضها عبر نفق مائي بإجمالي أطوال 12 كم فوق سطح البحر ليصل بين شارع راس بوعبود ومنطقة الخليج الغربي.

كما سيخدم معبر شرق الكثير من المناطق الحيوية بما فيها ملاعب  كأس العالم 2022 مثل استاد راس بوعبود واستاد لوسيل. 

ومع اكتمال المشروع سيستطيع رواد الطريق القادمين من راس بوعبود الوصول إلى الخليج الغربي في نحو سبعة دقائق فقط.

بينما تعتبر وصلة كتارا حلقة ربط أخري هامة بين منطقتي رأس أبو عبود و الحي الثقافي مما يسهل الوصول إلي كتارا ولوسيل.

كما يحتوي المشروع علي عناصر إنشائية حيث تشمل تنفيذ جسور وطرق بميول جانبية بالإضافة إلي نفق مائي يصل طوله إلي 1 كم وذلك لضمان استمرارية حركة الملاحة للسفن بشكل إنسيابي دون إعاقة لمرور السفن فوق النفق.
