Qatar Airways wins ‘Best Comprehensive Airline in the Middle East’

Doha: Qatar Airways (QA) announced that it has been named as ‘Best Overall in the Middle East’ at the 2020 Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) Regional Passenger Choice Awards, held in Singapore.

The award, which was received by Qatar Airways during the 2020 APEX Asia Awards Ceremony, was voted for by QA passengers through the APEX Official Airline Ratings system using the world’s highest rated travel app, TripIt.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said: “The greatest voice and testament to our success is that of our loyal passengers, and to consistently receive the prized Passenger Choice Awards, both at a global and regional level, is a huge honor.”

“We are thrilled to have yet further proof that Qatar Airways is the airline of choice for so many across the globe, and we look forward to continue to living up to our role as a ‘2020 Five Star Global Airline’ and welcoming more customers to the Qatar Airways experience,” he added.

This follows the multi-award-winning airline’s success at the recent APEX Global Passenger Choice Awards in September, where it earned the title ‘2020 Five Star Global Airline’ and scooped three awards for ‘Best Seat Comfort’, ‘Best Cabin Service’ and ‘Best Food and Beverage’.

“This incredible accomplishment on top of Qatar Airways’ three 2020 APEX Global Passenger Choice Awards illustrates an incredible series of accolades given by verified, validated, and certified customer flights around the globe.”

The APEX Passenger Choice Awards and APEX Official Airline Ratings are based on passenger feedback gathered through APEX’s partnership with TripIt from Concur, the world’s highest-rated travel-organizing app. Using a five-star scale, more than one million flights are rated by passengers across nearly 600 airlines from around the world.

Passengers rate their overall flight experience from one to five stars. On the same screen, passengers are also given the opportunity to provide anonymous ratings in five subcategories: ‘Seat Comfort’, ‘Cabin Service’, ‘Food and Beverage’, ‘Entertainment’ and “Wi-Fi”. The single-screen rating allows airline passengers to easily rate their flight in less than 15 seconds. The Passenger Choice Awards are independently certified by a professional external company hired by APEX. (QNA)

أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن فوزها بجائزة «أفضل شركة طيران شاملة في الشرق الأوسط»، خلال حفل توزيع جوائز «أبيكس لخيارات المسافرين لعام 2020»، الذي عُقد في سنغافورة أمس الأربعاء. وترتكز جوائز «أبيكس» على آراء المسافرين حول مختلف الخدمات، وتم جمع آراء المسافرين من خلال تطبيق السفر الشهير «TripIt®».

كما نالت الناقلة القطرية خلال حفل توزيع جوائز خيارات المسافرين «أبيكس 2019» في شهر سبتمبر الماضي، لقب «شركة الطيران العالمية ذات تصنيف خمس نجوم لعام 2020»، فضلاً عن 3 جوائز هي «أفضل خدمات الضيافة في الشرق الأوسط»، و»أفضل أطعمة ومشروبات في الشرق الأوسط»، و»أكثر المقاعد راحة في الشرق الأوسط».

ترتكز جوائز «أبيكس» إلى آراء المسافرين حول مختلف الخدمات، وتلقي الضوء على الأداء الاستثنائي والخدمات التي تقدّمها شركات الطيران على مستوى العالم. وتم جمع آراء المسافرين من خلال الشراكة مع «TripIt®» من «Concur®»، وهو أبرز تطبيق للسفر في العالم، عبر تصنيف أكثر من مليون رحلة من قِبل المسافرين لما يقارب 600 شركة طيران من جميع أنحاء العالم.
