UDC unveils attractive investment opportunities

United Development Company (UDC), through its pavilion at Cityscape Qatar 2019, has showcased its various real-estate projects to familiarise investors from Qatar and abroad with a range of lucrative investment opportunities, launching for the first time a limited number of beach villa plots in Gewan Island and Qanat Quartier Marina at The Pearl-Qatar.

CEO of United Development Company Ibrahim Jassim al-Othman said the company’s participation in the 8th edition of Cityscape Qatar will highlight its various projects and present the progress made in the Gewan Island project, which the UDC announced in the previous edition of this distinguished exhibition, noting that the work in the project is well underway.

In his remarks on the sidelines of the event, al-Othman said that the UDC had announced sales operations in the Gewan Island, and there are plots for sale with waterfronts, some of which have sea shores. Parts of these lands have been sold and others are reserved, and there are other plots for those wishing to invest.

He pointed to a number of projects that will be ready in 2022, including residential complexes in Floresta Gardens and another residential complex in Giordano Village.

Al-Othman noted that the company is currently working on the opening of a number of hotels, including the Hilton Hotel Pearl before the end of this year, and the St Regis Hotel in Marsa Arabia which will be ready before 2022.

By the end of these phases, the UDC will have six international brands hotels of seven and five stars located in The Pearl and the Gewan Island.

Asked whether the profits were affected by the volume of investment made by the company, al-Othman underlined that the profits are not affected by the size of the investment, especially as the investment gives the company continuity of profits.

In terms of supply and demand, he pointed out that Qatar has put forward a very positive initiative, which is allowing non-Qatari ownership. Such initiatives provides significant support for the sales in The Pearl and the Gewan Island or even in the freehold areas allowed for foreign investors, and create better business movement in the real-estate sector.

Al-Othman also expected a significant growth in real estate demand, especially in light of the state’s readiness to host the 2022 World Cup, and other tournaments.

He noted that the company seeks to create private communities in its projects, providing an integrated community life that attracts the population.

تعرض الشركة المتحدة للتنمية من خلال جناحها الخاص في معرض سيتي سكيب قطر2019، مختلف مشاريعها العقارية، لتعريف المستثمرين من دولة قطر والخارج بمجموعة الفرص الاستثمارية التي توفرها، حيث تقوم الشركة في هذا الإطار، ولأول مرة، بطرح قطع محدودة لأراضي الفلل الشاطئية في كل من جزيرة جيوان ومنطقة المارينا في قناة كارتييه بجزيرة اللؤلؤة-قطر.

وأوضح السيد إبراهيم جاسم العثمان الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة المتحدة للتنمية، أن مشاركة الشركة في النسخة الثامنة من معرض سيتي سكيب قطر 2019 التي افتتحت اليوم، تأتي في إطار عرض الشركة لمشاريعها المختلفة والتعريف أيضا بمدى التقدم المحرز من قبل الشركة في أعمال جزيرة جيوان التي كانت قد أعلنت عنها المتحدة للتنمية في النسخة السابقة من هذا المعرض المتميز، مبينا أن أعمال التجهيز في مشروع جزيرة جيوان تسير على قدم وساق، حيث كان قد تم البدء في العمل على تجهيز الأرض منذ 6 أشهر تقريبا، ومبينا أنه يتم في البدء العمل على الشكل الأساسي للجزيرة، ثم الدخول في أعمال البنية التحتية والعمل على بناء جسر يمثل مدخل منفصل لجيوان.

ولفت في تصريح أدلى به على هامش فعاليات سيتي سكيب قطر2019، إلى أن المتحدة للتنمية كانت قد أعلنت عن عمليات البيع في جزيرة جيوان، وهناك أراض للبيع ذات وجهات بحرية وبعضها له شواطئ بحرية وتم بيع جزء منها والبعض الآخر محجوز، وهناك أراض أخرى للراغبين في الاستثمار.

وأشار إلى عدد من المشاريع التي أعلنت عنها المتحدة للتنمية والتي ستكون جاهزة في عام 2022 منها المجمعات السكنية بمنطقة فلورستا جاردنز، ومجمع سكني آخر بمنطقة جيوردانو فيليج.

ولفت إلى أن الشركة تعمل حاليا على افتتاح عدد من الفنادق.. مبينا أنه من المقرر أن يتم افتتاح فندق الهيلتون باللؤلؤة قبل نهاية العام الجاري وذلك من قبل المطور الخارجي، كما أنه من المقرر أن يتم افتتاح فندق سانت ريجيس في منطقة مرسى أرابيا وسيكون جاهزا قبل حلول عام 2022 من قبل مطور آخر، منوها إلى أنه بنهاية هذه المراحل سيكون لدى المتحدة للتنمية 6 فنادق بعلامات تجارية عالمية 7 و5 نجوم متواجدة في جزيرتي اللؤلؤة وجيوان.

وبشأن ما إذا كانت الأرباح قد تأثرت بحجم الاستثمار الذي تقوم به الشركة، أكد الرئيس التنفيذي للمتحدة للتنمية أن الأرباح لا تتأثر بحجم الاستثمار، خاصة أن الاستثمار يعطي الشركة استمرارية للأرباح.

ومن ناحية العرض والطلب، أشار إلى أن دولة قطر طرحت مبادرة إيجابية جدا وهي إتاحة التملك لغير القطريين، وهي توفر دعما كبيرا للمبيعات في جزيرتي اللؤلؤة، وجيوان أو حتى في المناطق المعلنة والمسوح فيها بالبيع للمستثمرين الأجانب، حيث تخلق هذه المبادرات حركة تجارية أفضل في القطاع العقاري، متوقعا أن يكون هناك نمو كبير في الطلب العقاري، خاصة في ظل استعداد الدولة لاستضافة كأس العالم 2022، وغيرها من البطولات.
