Qatar Petroleum, partners win rights for 3 Brazil exploration blocks
«قطر للبترول» تفوز بحقوق 3 استكشافات جديدة في البرازيل
Qatar Petroleum (QP) has won exploration rights in three offshore blocks in Brazil, as part of two bidding consortia. The winning bids were announced by Brazil’s National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP) at a public bidding session held in Rio de Janeiro. Competing bids were submitted to the ANP and the winners were announced throughout the course of yesterday’s public session.
Qatar Petroleum won the exploration rights for block (541) in the Campos basin as part of a consortium comprising affiliates of Total (operator with a 40 percent interest), Qatar Petroleum (40 percent interest), and Petronas (20 percent).
Qatar Petroleum also won the exploration rights for blocks (659 and 713) in the Campos basin as part of a consortium comprising affiliates of Shell (operator with a 40 percent interest), Chevron (35 percent interest), and Qatar Petroleum (25 percent interest).
Commenting on these results, H E Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, the Minister of State of Energy, the President & CEO of Qatar Petroleum, said: “We are pleased to have won these offshore exploration blocks. This successful result is the fourth of its kind, which further strengthen Qatar Petroleum’s footprint in Brazil, marking yet another successful step towards realizing our international growth strategy, and turning Brazil into a cornerstone of our international portfolio.”
His Excellency added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Brazilian authorities for their transparent and efficient tender process, and all our partners for their excellent cooperation in achieving this result.”

وتم الإعلان عن فوز «قطر للبترول» خلال جلسة عامة لفض العطاءات عقدتها الوكالة البرازيلية الوطنية للبترول والغاز الطبيعي والوقود الحيوي، أمس، في مدينة ريو دي جانيرو، حيث قدمت الشركات المشاركة عروضها لمناطق الاستكشاف المعروضة، وتم الإعلان عن الفائز بكل منطقة، بعد فتح العطاءات خلال الجلسة نفسها.
حقوق الاستكشاف
وقد فازت «قطر للبترول» بحقوق الاستكشاف في المنطقة البحرية (541) في حوض كامبوس، وذلك من خلال تحالفها مع شركة «توتال» (المشغّل بحصة 40 %) و»قطر للبترول» (بحصة 40 %) وشركة «بيتروناس» (بحصة 20 %).
كما فازت «قطر للبترول» بحقوق الاستكشاف في المنطقتين البحريتين (659 و713) في حوض كامبوس أيضاً، وذلك من خلال تحالفها مع شركة «شل» (المشغّل بحصة 40%) وشركة «شيفرون» (بحصة 35%) و»قطر للبترول» (بحصة 25%).
منطقة واعدة
وفي معرض تعليقه على هذا الفوز، قال سعادة سعد بن شريده الكعبي، وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للبترول: «نحن سعداء بالفوز بحقوق الاستكشاف في منطقة بحرية واعدة، وتحظى بكثير من الاهتمام في البرازيل. هذا هو نجاحنا الرابع من نوعه، وهو ما سيعزز من تواجدنا في البرازيل، ويشكل خطوة مهمة نحو تنفيذ استراتيجيتنا للنمو، بعد أن أصبحت البرازيل عنصراً مهماً في تواجدنا الدولي». وأضاف الوزير الكعبي: «أود أن أغتنم هذه الفرصة لأشكر السلطات البرازيلية على إدارتها لعملية تنافسية شفافة وفعّالة، وأن أشكر جميع شركائنا على تعاونهم في تحقيق هذه النتيجة».
