QIB sponsors ‘10th Annual Investor Relations Conference’

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced that it will be the diamond sponsor of the 10th Annual Investor Relations (IR) Conference, organised by Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
The conference is set to take place at City Centre Rotana Doha tomorrow.
The event aims to encourage listed companies to adopt international best practices in the field of investor relations and corporate governance.
This year, the conference will cover a range of prominent subjects such as measuring IR programme effectiveness, important challenges in disclosure, corporate environmental social governance and sustainability communications, factors affecting the promotion of the asset management industry in Qatar, integrating IR in public relations and communications, and more, QIB has said in a statement.
Gourang Hemani, chief financial officer at QIB, said: “QIB is proud to sponsor this year’s IR conference, as we continue to support QSE’s objective to enhance investor relations and develop awareness among listed companies, to help improve the transparency and ownership of accurate information for investors and traders.
“In line with QSE and the conference’s goal to provide reliable and easily accessible information, we have revamped our Investor Relations section on our website and launched the QIB IR mobile app to help all investors and financial analysts access information easily and conveniently. In parallel, we are having regular one to one meetings with existing and potential investors and we participate in various investors’ conferences locally and internationally”.
QIB is “leading in providing digital tools to give shareholders and investors access of the bank’s activities and financial information in total transparency”, the statement noted. Last year, QIB launched an Investor Relations (QIB IR) app for Android and iOS smartphones and revamped the IR section on its website to provide investors and all interested parties with more information on the bank’s performance and operations.
The QIB IR App and dedicated webpages keep investors updated on the latest financial developments related to share prices, stock performance, bank news, financial results and key financial reports. “It provides an easy-to-use and intuitive user experience. It also includes interactive financial screens enabling investors to see QIB’s historical share price and results while providing comparison with peers,” the statement added.
As QIB’s investors are global, the bank’s IR app supports 17 languages and enable the display of share prices in different currencies as well. The app is one of several initiatives launched by QIB to “enhance investor communications”.
The QIB IR digital initiative was a “significant step in QIB’s efforts to strengthen the relationship with investors by raising awareness and being transparent”.

وفي هذا السياق، قال السيد جورانج هيماني، المدير العام للمجموعة المالية في المصرف: «يفتخر المصرف برعاية مؤتمر هذا العام لعلاقات المستثمرين، فيما نواصل دعمنا لتحقيق أهداف بورصة قطر المتمثلة في تعزيز علاقات المستثمرين، ورفع مستوى الوعي بين الشركات المدرجة للمساعدة في تحسين الشفافية، وتوفير معلومات دقيقة للمستثمرين والمتداولين».
وأضاف: «تماشياً مع توجيهات بورصة قطر، وهدف المؤتمر المتمثل في توفير معلومات موثوقة يسهل الوصول إليها، قمنا بتحديث القسم الخاص بعلاقات المستثمرين على موقعنا الإلكتروني وأطلقنا تطبيق «QIB IR App» لمساعدة المستثمرين والمحللين الماليين على الوصول إلى المعلومات بيسر وسهولة. وفي الوقت نفسه، نعقد اجتماعات مباشرة مع المستثمرين الحاليين والمستقبليين، ونشارك في مؤتمرات المستثمرين المختلفة محلياً ودولياً».

ويضطلع المصرف بدور رائد في توفير الأدوات الرقمية لتسهيل وصول المساهمين والمستثمرين إلى أعمال المصرف ومعلوماته المالية بشفافية تامة. وفي العام الماضي، أطلق المصرف تطبيق «QIB IR App» للهواتف الذكية التي تعمل بنظام «Android» و»iOS»، كما قام بتحديث قسم علاقات المستثمرين على موقعه الإلكتروني، وذلك بهدف تزويد المستثمرين وجميع الأطراف المهتمة بجميع المعلومات حول أداء وعمليات المصرف.
ويُبقي تطبيق «QIB IR App» والموقع الإلكتروني المخصص المستثمرين على اطلاع دائم بآخر التطورات المالية المتعلقة بسعر وأداء السهم، وأخبار المصرف، والنتائج المالية، وأهم التقارير المالية. ويوفر التطبيق تجربة مستخدم حدسية سهلة الاستخدام، تتضمن شاشات مالية تفاعلية تتيح للمستثمرين استعراض سعر السهم تاريخياً، والحصول على النتائج بتاريخ محدد، وتتيح مقارنة أداء السهم مع باقي البنوك. وبما أن المستثمرين في المصرف من جميع أنحاء العالم، يدعم تطبيق «QIB IR 17» لغات مختلفة، ويمكن الاطلاع على سعر السهم بمختلف العملات. ويعد التطبيق إحدى المبادرات العديدة التي أطلقها المصرف لتعزيز علاقات المستثمرين.
وكانت مبادرة «QIB IR» الرقمية خطوة مهمة في جهود المصرف الرامية لتعزيز العلاقات مع المستثمرين، من خلال رفع مستوى الوعي والشفافية. وسيواصل المصرف سعيه لإيجاد طرق مبتكرة لتعزيز الاتصالات مع المستثمرين باستخدام أحدث التكنولوجيات.
