Muscat: The State of Qatar is participating in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Innovation Forum in Education, which is being held in Muscat, Oman.
Qatar’s delegation to the forum is headed by Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi.
The forum will discuss ways to keep pace with the accelerated development of technology and innovation in the education sector. It is dedicated to business partnerships and innovations in ICT, with the aim of developing educational infrastructure capable of meeting future requirements based on technological development.
It will bring together ministers of education and higher education, information and communications technology in Arab countries, in addition to a number of universities.
The forum highlights the MENA region’s education sector’s response to the information revolution and its response to the requirements of the 21st century in terms of curricula and skills imposed by the future reality in light of the rapid technological development and the emergence of artificial intelligence as a feature of the fourth industrial revolution.
It also provides an opportunity to learn about experiences that enhance youth abilities, empower them with entrepreneurial skills, innovation and SME creation, and fulfill the aspirations of youth in the MENA region.
تشارك دولة قطر في منتدى الابتكار التقني في التعليم بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا المنعقد حاليا في العاصمة العمانية مسقط.
ويرأس وفد دولة قطر في المنتدى سعادة الدكتور محمد بن عبدالواحد الحمادي وزير التعليم والتعليم العالي.
ويناقش المنتدى سبل مواكبة قطاع التعليم للتطور المتسارع في قطاع التكنولوجيا والابتكار، وهو مخصص للشراكات التجارية والابتكارات في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، بهدف تطوير بنى أساسية تعليمية قادرة على الوفاء بالمتطلبات المستقبلية القائمة على التطور التكنولوجي.
يشارك في المنتدى وزراء التعليم والتعليم العالي وتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في العديد من الدول العربية، إضافة للعديد من الجامعات.
ويسلط المنتدى الضوء على مواكبة قطاع التعليم بدول منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا للثورة المعلوماتية ومدى استجابته لمتطلبات القرن الحادي والعشرين على مستوى المناهج والمهارات التي يفرضها الواقع المستقبلي في ضوء التطور التكنولوجي المتسارع وبروز الذكاء الاصطناعي كأحد مظاهر الثورة الصناعية الرابعة.
كما يمثل فرصة للتعرف على التجارب التي تعزز قدرات الشباب وتمكينهم من مهارات ريادة الأعمال، والابتكار وإنشاء المشاريع الصغيرة والمتوسطة، وتحقيق تطلعات الشباب في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا.
