Qatar Airways: Al Darb Qatarisation programme welcomes over 60 nationals 

Qatar Airways has introduced more than 60 nationals to its Al Darb Qatarisation programme.

The airline welcomed the new Graduate Developees by hosting a Jossor event on September 3-4 at the Oryx Rotana Hotel. The Jossor event is an opportunity for nationals to gain knowledge of the aviation industry from inspiring and innovative leaders.

Jossor is part of Al Darb Qatarisation Programme, an initiative that introduces new graduates to the world of aviation, enabling them to become future leaders of the airline.

The programme provides outstanding opportunities for graduates to gain significant and relevant experience through working in various departments within the Qatar Airways Group, allowing them to meet colleagues and nationals that will help them in their future development.

Over the course of two days, the Nationals were able to learn about their own development plans, while meeting and asking questions to their colleagues and line-managers.

They began to understand the many aspects of the company and the broad variety of services it provides.

Graduate Developees can join various departments within Qatar Airways Group, affording them the opportunity to work across the organisation.

Each function within the aviation industry is uniquely complex, and will allow the future new National joiners to obtain a customised development plan.

Akbar Al Baker, Group Chief Executive, Qatar Airways, said: “It is a pleasure to have more than 60 young Qataris join the airline this year. We expect the best from all our employees and are always on the lookout for fresh graduates with potential to be future leaders in our industry. Qatar’s National Vision aims that by 2030, the nation will become an advanced society capable of sustaining its development and providing a high standard of living for its people. To reach that vision, Qatar has established five long-term challenges, including modernisation and preservation of traditions, the needs of the current generation and future generations, managed growth and uncontrolled expansion, the size and quality of the expatriate labour force and the selected path of development, and lastly economic growth, social development, and environmental management.

Al Darb Qatarisation team strives to provide its Nationals with world-class learning and development opportunities to experience and operate in various work environments. Jossor, which means bridges will connect the new employees to Qatar Airways by allowing them to be aware of the company’s policies, regulations, work environment and expectations.

رحّبت الخطوط الجوية القطرية بأكثر من 60 خريجاً متدرباً في برنامج الدرب للتقطير، خلال فعالية خاصة نظمتها في 3 و4 سبتمبر في الدوحة. واستضافت الناقلة المنتسبين الجدد خلال فعالية برنامج جسور، والتي تمثّل فرصة للمواهب الوطنية للتعرّف على قطاع الطيران من القادة الملهمين والمبدعين.

ويعدّ برنامج «جسور» جزءاً من برنامج الدرب للتقطير الذي يعمل على تعريف الخريجين الجدد بعالم الطيران، وتمكينهم وتطوير قدراتهم لكي يصبحوا قادة المستقبل في الناقلة الوطنية. كما يقدّم برنامج الدرب للتقطير فرصاً مميزة للمنتسبين لاكتساب خبرة كبيرة في هذا المجال، عبر العمل في مختلف إدارات مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، مما يمكّنهم من مقابلة العديد من المواهب الوطنية الذين من شأنهم تقديم المساعدة في تطوير قدراتهم في المستقبل.

وعلى مدار يومين، تمكّن هؤلاء الشباب من التعرف على خططهم الخاصة لتطوير مهاراتهم، فيما تمكّنوا من الاجتماع بزملائهم ومديريهم المباشرين وطرح الأسئلة عليهم. وبدأ المنتسبون بإدراك الجوانب العديدة للخطوط الجوية القطرية، والتعرف على العديد من الخدمات التي تقدمها.

وفيما تعدّ كل وظيفة في قطاع الطيران معقّدة بشكل فريد، يتيح البرنامج للخريجين المتدربين الالتحاق بالإدارات المختلفة ضمن مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، ليمنحهم الفرصة لتجربة مختلف نواحي العمل في المجموعة، مما يتيح الفرصة أمامهم لوضع خطة تطوير خاصة لأنفسهم في المستقبل.
