Ooredoo holds blood donation campaign
«ooredoo» تنظّم حملة للتبرع بالدم
Ooredoo held a two-day blood donation drive to encourage employees to donate blood and support the local community. The drive saw large numbers of eligible Ooredoo employees turn out to donate blood in order to help patients at local clinics and hospitals.
The blood donation drives — an annual commitment for Ooredoo — were held at the telecoms leader’s two headquarters sites on September 5 and 10, 2019, and were arranged in partnership with Hamad Medical Centre’s Blood Donation Centre.
HMC visited both Ooredoo’s headquarters, in West Bay and Airport Road, with everything necessary to collect blood on site, making donation a quick and easy process for Ooredoo employees.
Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo, said, “At Ooredoo, supporting our local communities is a key focus of our corporate social responsibility strategy. We recognise our humanitarian responsibilities as a leading Qatari company, and we are fully committed to finding as many ways as possible to participate in initiatives that benefit those in the community in need of our help. We’re proud to see so many of our employees who were able to donate blood came along and did so, and we’re grateful to Hamad Medical Centre for making the blood drives possible.”
نظّمت «ooredoo» حملة للتبرع بالدم على مدار يومين اثنين، ساهم خلالهما موظّفو الشركة بالتبرع بالدم، بهدف تقديم الدعم لأفراد المجتمع. وشارك خلال الحملة عدد كبير من موظفي «ooredoo»؛ سعياً منهم لمساعدة المرضى المحتاجين إلى وحدات الدم في المراكز الصحية والمستشفيات.
وقد أُقيمت حملة التبرع بالدم -التي تُعد مبادرة سنوية تنظّمها «ooredoo»- في مقرات «ooredoo» الرئيسية يومي 5 و10 سبتمبر 2019، بالتعاون مع مركز التبرع بالدم التابع لمؤسسة حمد الطبية. وقد جهّزت مؤسسة حمد الطبية المواقع المخصصة للتبرع بالدم بمختلف المعدّات والأجهزة الطبية اللازمة، لتتيح لموظفي «ooredoo» التبرع بكل بسهولة ويسر.
وحول هذه المبادرة، قالت منار خليفة المريخي، مديرة إدارة العلاقات العامة واتصالات الشركة في «ooredoo»: «نحن سعداء بتنظيم حملتنا السنوية للتبرع بالدم بالتعاون مع مؤسسة حمد الطبية. وكما تعلمون، فإن مثل هذه المبادرات الهادفة إلى توفير الدعم لأفراد المجتمع تُعدّ محوراً رئيسياً ضمن استراتيجية «ooredoo» للمسؤولية الاجتماعية. ونحن نعتز بالإقبال الكبير لموظفي الشركة على المشاركة في هذه الحملة، ونثمّن حرصهم على دعم هذه المبادرة الإنسانية الخيرية التي تعكس روح التكاتف المجتمعي. كما نشكر بدورنا مؤسسة حمد الطبية لتعاونها معنا في هذه الحملة وتسهيل إجراءات التبرع بالدم».
