Bloomberg Media Group announces agreement with QFC
«بلومبيرج» الإعلامية تبثّ تقاريرها من «قطر للمال»
DOHA: Bloomberg Media Group yesterday announced a new agreement with the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), further advancing Bloomberg’s presence and editorial coverage in the region. The agreement includes a remote Bloomberg Television studio for live reports at the QFC in Doha, adding the major financial capital to existing remote locations in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, as well as Bloomberg Television’s Middle East and Africa broadcasting hub in Dubai.
Starting this month, Simone Foxman of Bloomberg News will report regularly for Bloomberg Television out of the new Doha location. These television reports will be broadcast into Bloomberg Television’s primetime morning show Bloomberg Daybreak: Middle East, which airs Sunday through Thursday at 8 am GST out of Dubai. Bloomberg’s coverage of the region has continued to expand in recent years with the launch of regionally focused editorial platforms in 2016 and regular events.
“Building on our existing coverage of the region, this agreement will ensure more regular televised news from Qatar. Increasing our regional presence means we can give our viewers more content on the news that interests them,” said Riad Hamade, Executive Editor for Middle East and North Africa, Bloomberg News.

أعلنت مجموعة «بلومبيرج» الإعلامية، أمس، عن إبرام اتفاقية جديدة مع مركز قطر للمال، ما يعزّز حضور «بلومبيرج» ونطاق تغطيتها الصحفية في المنطقة. تشمل الاتفاقية تواجد ستوديو متحكم عن بُعد تابع لتلفزيون «بلومبيرج» في مركز قطر للمال في الدوحة، من أجل بثّ التقارير المباشرة من هناك، لتضاف بذلك العاصمة المالية إلى مواقع مشابهة في المنطقة.
ابتداءً من هذا الشهر، سوف تقدّم سيمون فوكسمان من «أخبار بلومبيرج» تقارير دورية لتلفزيون «بلومبيرج» من موقع «بلومبيرج» الجديد في الدوحة.
حضور
وبهذه المناسبة، قال رياض حمادة، المدير التحريري لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا- أخبار «بلومبيرج»: «في أعقاب توسّع تغطيتنا الإعلامية لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط، تضمن هذه الاتفاقية بثّ المزيد من الأخبار المتلفزة بشكل دوري من قطر. ويساهم تعزيز حضورنا الإقليمي في تمكين بلومبيرج من تقديم محتوى أكبر لمشاهدينا فيما يخص الأخبار التي تهمهم».
من جهته، قال باري رافيندراناثان، الرئيس والعضو المنتدب لدى مجموعة «بلومبيرج» الإعلامية – الدولية: «تأتي هذه الاتفاقية خطوة طبيعية في إطار مساعينا لتوسيع حضورنا في المراكز المالية الرائدة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط. ونظراً لازدياد تركيز جمهورنا على الأسواق المالية في المنطقة، فقد استجبنا لهذا التوجه وعملنا جاهدين على تقديم عروض أكبر».
