Ooredoo launches new digital recharges for Hala customers

Ooredoo announced yesterday that it has launched a new digital recharge option for its Hala customers, meaning they will no longer need to purchase paper recharge cards. The new Direct Top-Up recharges will be available at a number of retail outlets across Qatar via electronic point-of-sale terminals.
In line with Ooredoo’s goal of complete digitalisation, the current paper recharge cards are being phased out and will be replaced by the digital Direct Top-Up recharges.
The new electronic point-of-sale terminals will enable customers to quickly, easily, and securely purchase recharges for Hala accounts digitally. Current roll-out is supermarkets and grocery stores, with the entire network of point-of-sale locations across Qatar the end goal.
Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director, public relations and corporate communications at Ooredoo, said: “We’re committed to our goal of complete digitalisation and to this end we’re delighted to now offer digital recharges to our Hala customers. The new Direct Top-Ups offer a secure, efficient way to purchase recharges without the need for paper recharge cards, meaning there’s no longer a risk of losing a recharge card or of not being able to get the denomination you want. This is a great step forward for us and for our customers, and we’re confident the new Direct Top-Ups will be well received.”
To purchase a digital recharge for a Hala line, customers need simply visit their chosen outlet, provide their mobile number, specify the recharge denomination, and the staff member will process the digital recharge, which will be effective immediately. Customers will receive an SMS on their Hala line to confirm the recharge.
أعلنت «ooredoo» عن إطلاق خدمة رقمية جديدة لعملاء «هلا» تتيح لهم تعبئة الرصيد رقمياً بشكل مباشر ودون الحاجة لشراء بطاقات أو قسائم ورقية لتعبئة الرصيد. وتتوفر خدمة تعبئة الرصيد المباشرة من خلال أجهزة إلكترونية متوافرة في نقاط البيع لدى عدد من المحلات التجارية بمناطق مختلفة في قطر. وانطلاقاً من سعيها إلى التحوّل الرقمي الكامل، سيتم العمل على إلغاء استخدام بطاقات تعبئة الرصيد الورقية تدريجياً، واستبدالها بتعبئة الرصيد الرقمية، من خلال هذه الخدمة الجديدة.
وستمكّن أجهزة نقاط البيع الإلكترونية الجديدة العملاء من تعبئة رصيد «هلا» رقمياً لعدة فئات بسرعة وسهولة وأمان أكبر. وتتوافر هذه الخدمة حالياً في عدد من محلات السوبرماركت والمواد الاستهلاكية (البقالة)، إلا أن «ooredoo» تسعى إلى توسيع نطاق انتشار هذه الخدمة لتشمل جميع مناطق قطر.
وحول الخدمة الجديدة، قالت منار خليفة المريخي، مديرة إدارة العلاقات العامة واتصالات الشركة في «ooredoo قطر»: «نحن ملتزمون بهدفنا المتمثل في تحويل خدماتنا إلى خدمات رقمية، لذا سررنا بتوفير خدمة تعبئة الرصيد المباشرة رقمياً لعملاء «هلا»، والتي تعد طريقة تتميز بالسهولة والكفاءة والأمان لشراء تعبئة رصيد «هلا» دون استخدام بطاقات التعبئة الورقية. ولا شك أن هذه الخدمة الجديدة ستسهل تعبئة الرصيد على العملاء، وستوفر أمامهم جميع فئات تعبئة الرصيد، كما أنها ستجنبهم -على سبيل المثال- التعرض لفقدان بطاقات التعبئة الورقية. ونحن واثقون في أن الخدمة الجديدة ستلقى ترحيباً كبيراً من عملائنا».
