QIIB launches ‘Contactless Payments Service’
«الدولي الإسلامي» يطلق تقنية الدفع «دون لمس»
QIIB has announced the launch of its Contactless Payment Service across all Credit and Debit cards in line with the latest banking technologies, thus becoming the first Islamic Bank in Qatar to launch this service.
Using the contactless service, QIIB card holders can easily use their cards without the need of inserting their card into multiple payment devices such as points of sale (POS).
On the occasion, Omar Abdulaziz Al Meer, QIIB Chief of Business Development said, “We are delighted to be able to keep up with the latest global technologies in the Banking Sector. We are pleased to be the first Islamic bank in Qatar to launch this service”.
He added: “In addition to the ease of use, this service is highly secure as it is conforms to the International Security Standards relating to payment processing, which we consider as a top priority”.
Al-Meer said, “This year, QIIB was awarded the highest certificate in the protection of Banking Cards Data (PCI-DSS), for the fourth consecutive year. This certificate is awarded to institutions that achieve the best security standards. Thus, launching the Contactless service is the natural progression of QIIB to offer the best in class payment services to our Customers”.
“All QIIB Cards to be issued or renewed moving forward will be Contactless enabled…The introduction of the new service to QIIB Cards is a catalyst in delivering the Bank’s vision for providing innovative Products and Services to its valued Customers. ” Al-Meer added.
أعلن «الدولي الإسلامي» عن إطلاق خدمة الدفع بتقنية «دون لمس» عبر بطاقاته المصرفية على اختلاف أنواعها؛ مواكبة للجيل الأحدث من التكنولوجيا المصرفية، وتلبية لتطلعات عملائه، وليكون بذلك أول بنك إسلامي في قطر يطبّق هذه التقنية. وعبر هذه التقنية، أصبح بإمكان حاملي بطاقات «الدولي الإسلامي» التي تحمل تقنية «دون لمس» استخدام هذه البطاقات بطريقة سهلة وسريعة، بعيداً عن الطريقة التقليدية التي تتطلب إدخال البطاقة في أجهزة الدفع المختلفة.
صرّح السيد عمر عبدالعزيز المير -رئيس تطوير الأعمال في «الدولي الإسلامي»- بمناسبة إطلاق هذه التقنية الجديدة، قائلاً: «إضافة إلى اليسر والسهولة في الاستخدام ومواكبة التكنولوجيا، فإن هذه التقنية تتميّز بدرجة عالية من الأمان بالنظر إلى اعتمادها على برمجيات تتمتع بأعلى المعايير المعتمدة في القطاع المصرفي، وهذا أمر نضعه في (الدولي الإسلامي) في أعلى سلّم أولوياتنا».
وأضاف: «جميع بطاقات (الدولي الإسلامي) التي سيتم إصدارها حديثاً مزوّدة بتقنية (دون لمس)، وكذلك البطاقات التي تُجدّد، ونأمل أن يتم الانتقال الكامل لجميع بطاقات البنك إلى هذه التقنية وفق الخطة الموضوعة من قِبل فريق العمل بالبنك».
منتجات متطوّرة
وأكد المير أخيراً: «أن إضافة التقنية الجديدة إلى بطاقات (الدولي الإسلامي) هي خطوة إضافية في طريق طويل قطعه (الدولي الإسلامي) في تطوير مختلف منتجاته وخدماته، وهو مستمر في خططه التطويرية التي تصبّ في مصلحة العملاء ومصلحة البنك».
جدير بالذكر أن «الدولي الإسلامي» تأسس عام 1990 بوصفه ثاني بنك إسلامي في دولة قطر، ويقدّم البنك خدمات مصرفية متكاملة لعملائه عبر شبكة فروع واسعة تمتد في مختلف مناطق دولة قطر، كما أن للبنك شراكات متنوعة إقليمياً ودولياً.
