Al Jazeera, Qatar Charity sign cooperation agreement

DOHA: Al Jazeera Media Network signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Qatar Charity yesterday.

The Memorandum will allow both parties to increase existing cooperation in the fields of documentary production and advertisement. The agreement was signed by Abdulla Al Najjar, Executive Director of Global Brand and Communications from Al Jazeera and Youssef Al Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity signed for Qatar Charity.

Commenting on the signing of the memorandum, AlNajjar said, “We are proud of our cooperation with Qatar Charity and we are happy to see it further enhanced by today’s agreement, renewing our commitment to this collaboration which started a few years ago.”

Yousef Al Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity, stressed the importance of the collaboration with Al Jazeera Media Network and stated the importance of the media’s role in highlighting Qatar Charity’s activities around the world.

Qatar Charity is a leading non-governmental charitable organization in both the Middle East and the world. Its activities focus on sustainable development, eradicating poverty, and providing relief to the disaster-stricken people and areas. It operates in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Arab region.

وقعت شبكة الجزيرة الإعلامية، أمس، مذكرة تعاون مع «قطر الخيرية»، شملت تعزيز التعاون القائم بين الجهتين، وتجديد الشراكة في مجال الدعاية التلفزيونية والإعلانات الإلكترونية والإنتاج الوثائقي والرقمي. وقّع المذكرة عن شبكة الجزيرة الإعلامية عبد الله النجار المدير التنفيذي للهوية المؤسسية والاتصال الدولي، وعن «قطر الخيرية» يوسف الكواري الرئيس التنفيذي للجمعية.

وخلال حفل التوقيع قال عبد الله النجار: «إننا نعتز بالعلاقة المتميزة التي تربط الجزيرة وقطر الخيرية منذ سنوات، ونسعد بتطوير هذه العلاقة في إطار هذه المذكرة التي نوقعها اليوم، حيث نجدد العهد على التعاون وتقوية الصلات التي ربطتنا خلال السنوات الماضية».

من جانبه، أكد يوسف الكواري الرئيس التنفيذي لـ «قطر الخيرية» أهمية التعاون مع شبكة الجزيرة الإعلامية، مثمناً دور الإعلام في دعم العمل الخيري والتعريف بالمشاريع التي تقوم بها «قطر الخيرية» في أنحاء العالم.
