Kahramaa awards QR565mn works to local companies
كهرماء تمنح عقود عمل بقيمة 565 مليون ريال قطري لشركات محلية

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has awarded 34 works, services and supply contracts to local factories and companies with a total value of about QR565mn, while the value of supplying electrical cables and electric power plates produced locally during the period of the contracts in force and concluded with local factories amounted to approximately QR250mn.
Kahramaa’s contract comes as part of its efforts to support and encourage local industries and products through the promising opportunities offered by the Corporation to supply products and materials for its projects in the country.
Engineer Essa bin Hilal al-Kuwari, President of Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation Kahramaa, said that Kahramaa is keen to provide alternatives from the local market and to localise industries related to the electricity and water sectors through supporting national companies and to give priority to local products, as the Corporation seeks to increase the role of these companies in the procurement processes as a local industry encouraged by the State, and encourages and support local SMEs to continue their participation in tenders offered by the Corporation.
He noted that the local companies were able to achieve self-sufficiency and cover the demand for low pressure medium pressure cables, and provide them in the market at the highest standards and quality in light of the expansion of projects and the continuing needs for cables, as these companies look forward to exporting to neighboring countries during the coming period.
The fruits of the facilities and incentives granted by the State to the local industry and companies have begun to exist during the current stage after the entry of new factories for the production of cables, switches, electric panels and other products related to this industry.
The coming period will witness more investment opportunities supported by the State in the electricity and water sector.
In 2018, Kahramaa signed two contracts for the supply of power cables with Doha Cables and Qatar International Cables, a two-year demand system with a total value of about QR1.9bn, where local companies were given priority in infrastructure projects, including electricity and water projects, as they serve the local industry and expansions in the urban areas witnessed by the State, whether citizens’ lands or new industrial areas, as well as new projects in the State.
قامت المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء «كهرماء» خلال النصف الأول من 2019 بترسية 34 عقد أعمال وخدمات وتوريد مع مصانع وشركات محلية، بقيمة إجمالية حوالي 565 مليون ريال، كما بلغت قيمة توريد الكابلات الكهربائية ولوحات التغذية الكهربائية المنتجة محلياً خلال تلك الفترة من العقود السارية والمبرمة مع المصانع المحلية ما يقارب 250 مليون ريال. تأتي هذه العقود في إطار سعي كهرماء نحو دعم وتشجيع الصناعات المحلية والمنتجات الوطنية، من خلال الفرص الواعدة التي توفرها المؤسسة لتوريد منتجات ومواد لمشاريعها بالدولة.
صرح سعادة المهندس عيسى بن هلال الكواري رئيس المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء «كهرماء»: «تحرص كهرماء على توفير بدائل من السوق المحلي وتوطين الصناعات المرتبطة بقطاعي الكهرباء والماء، من خلال دعم للشركات الوطنية، وإعطاء أولوية وأفضلية للمنتجات المحلية، حيث تسعى المؤسسة إلى زيادة دور هذه الشركات في عمليات التوريد، باعتبارها من الصناعات المحلية التي تشجعها الدولة، كما تعمل على تشجيع ودعم الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة المحلية لمواصلة مشاركتها في المناقصات التي تطرحها المؤسسة».
وأضاف: استطاعت الشركات المحلية تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي وتغطية الطلب على الكابلات ذات الضغط المنخفض والضغط المتوسط، وتوفيرها في السوق على أعلى مستوى من المعايير والجودة، في ظل التوسع في المشاريع والاحتياجات المستمرة للكابلات، حيث تتطلع هذه الشركات إلى التصدير للدول المجاورة خلال الفترة المقبلة.
مصانع حديثة
وقد بدأت ثمار التسهيلات والحوافز التي تمنحها الدولة للصناعة والشركات المحلية، تظهر إلى الوجود خلال المرحلة الحالية، بعد دخول مصانع جديدة لإنتاج الكابلات والمفاتيح ولوحات التغذية الكهربائية، وغيرها من المنتجات المرتبطة بهذه الصناعة، وستشهد الفترة المقبلة طرح مزيد من الفرص الاستثمارية التي تدعمها الدولة في قطاع الكهرباء والماء.
وكانت «كهرماء» قد وقّعت في 2018 عقدي توريد كابلات كهربائية مع شركتي «الدوحة للكابلات» و»قطر الدولية للكابلات الكهربائية»، بنظام الطلب عند الحاجة لمدة سنتين، بقيمة إجمالية حوالي 1.9 مليار ريال. حيث تم منح الشركات المحلية الأولوية في مشاريع البنية التحتية، ومنها مشاريع الكهرباء والماء، حيث تخدم الصناعة المحلية والتوسعات في المناطق العمرانية التي تشهدها الدولة، سواء أراضي المواطنين، أو المناطق الصناعية الجديدة، بجانب المشاريع الجديدة في الدولة.
