Doha Bank takes part in launch ceremony of ‘Majd Qatar’ campaign
بنك الدوحة يشارك في النسخة الثالثة من حملة “مجد قطر”
Doha Bank has participated in the launch ceremony of the ‘Majd Qatar’ campaign and celebrated the publication of its third book edition, which documents the success stories of the government and private institutions in recent years that form part of the economic, social and scientific renaissance in Qatar.
Doha Bank’s participation in the launching ceremony of ‘Majd Qatar’ book comes under the guidance of Doha Bank chairman Sheikh Fahd bin Mohamed bin Jabor al-Thani and managing director Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Mohamed bin Jabor al-Thani as part of the bank’s commitment to supporting the vision of the country’s wise leadership and raising awareness of the investment opportunities in Qatar’s economy, it has said in a statement.
Ahmad Ali al-Hanzab, head of Administration and Property, represented Doha Bank at the ceremony. Al-Hanzab delivered the closing speech, in which he stressed the importance of Doha Bank’s role in developing local banking and its keenness to fulfil its social and economic responsibilities towards the citizens and residents of Qatar.
In his speech, al-Hanzab reviewed the most important social, charitable and environmental projects undertaken by Doha Bank each year to develop Qatari communities and support the national economy.
Al-Hanzab said, “Doha Bank, one of Qatar’s largest private commercial banks, recognises the fact that no business can succeed if the community is falling apart, this realisation, which remains today the core of our mission, is the main motivation for being one of the supporters of the initiatives that contribute to the development of the community since its inception in 1979.”
Qatar’s Tawasul Centre launched the book, ‘Majd Qatar’ (Qatar Glory), at a ceremony held recently at the Museum of Islamic Art. The book aims to reveal the pillars of the Qatari renaissance achievements and milestone over the past two years of the blockade imposed on the nation, and to inform the public of the ability of state institutions and society to promote and achieve advanced indicators in all areas.
The ceremony coincided with the sixth anniversary of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani’s accession to power. This is an ideal opportunity to emphasise the wisdom and perseverance of the Qatari leadership’s vision and to honour those who contributed to building this beloved country and to highlight and document their achievements.
شارك بنك الدوحة، أحد أكبر البنوك التجارية في قطر، في حفل إطلاق حملة وكتاب “مجد قطر” الذي يحتفي بالمؤسسات الحكومية والخاصة التي تشكل وجهاً من وجوه النهضة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والعلمية في البلاد، وذلك من خلال سرده وتوثيقه لقصص نجاح هذه المؤسسات خلال السنوات الأخيرة.
وتأتي مشاركة بنك الدوحة في كتاب “مجد قطر” ضمن إطار توجيه سعادة الشيخ فهد بن محمد بن جبر آل ثاني رئيس مجلس إدارة بنك الدوحة، وسعادة الشيخ عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن جبر آل ثاني، العضو المنتدب للبنك للالتزام بدعم رؤية القيادة القطرية الرشيدة والحرص على رفع درجة الوعي بالفرص الكامنة في اقتصاد قطر.
ومثّل السيد أحمد علي الحنزاب رئيس الشؤون الإدارية والممتلكات بنك الدوحة في هذا الحفل، حيث قام السيد الحنزاب بإلقاء كلمة الختام وهي الكلمة التي أكدّ فيها أهمية الدور الذي يلعبه بنك الدوحة في تطوير العمل المصرفي المحلي، وحرصه البالغ على تأدية مسؤولياته الاجتماعية والاقتصادية تجاه أبناء قطر، مواطنين ومقيمين، واستعرض السيد الحنزاب في كلمته أهم المشاريع الاجتماعية والخيرية والبيئية التي يقوم بها البنك كل عام بغية تنمية المجتمعات القطرية، ودعم الاقتصاد الوطني.
وتعليقاً على تكريم الحملة لبنك الدوحة قال السيد الحنزاب: “يدرك بنك الدوحة، أحد أكبر البنوك التجارية الخاصة في قطر، حقيقة أنه لا يمكن لأي مشروع عمل كان أن ينجح والمجتمع حوله يتهاوى. هذا الإدراك، الذي ما زال إلى يومنا هذا جوهر رسالتنا، هو الدافع الأساسي لكوننا أحد الداعمين للمبادرات التي تساهم في تنمية المجتمع وذلك منذ انطلاقه في عام 1979 وحتى يومنا هذا.
وكان مركز تواصل للإعلان والتنظيم قد دشن كتاب “مجد قطر” في حفل أقيم في متحف الفن الإسلامي، يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 25 يونيو. ويهدف الكتاب إلى الكشف عن أعمدة النهضة القطرية مع مرور عامين على الحصار المفروض على دولة قطر، وإلى تعريف الجمهور بقدرة مؤسسات الدولة والمجتمع على النهوض بنفسها وتحقيق مؤشرات متقدمة في كل المجالات، حيث جاء الحفل في الذكرى السادسة لتولي حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى مقاليد الحكم في قطر، وهو ما يعتبر فرصة مثالية للتأكيد على حكمة ومثابرة رؤية القيادة القطرية، وتكريم أولئك الذين ساهموا في بناء هذا البلد الحبيب، من خلال تسليط الضوء عليهم وتوثيق إنجازاتهم.
