Ahlibank posts H1 net profit of QR359 million

Ahlibank has reported a net profit of QR359.3 million for the first half (H1) of the year ended June 30, 2019, an increase of 1.7 percent or QR 6 million over the same period of 2018, the bank announced in a statement on Wednesday.

Chairman and Managing Director of Ahlibank Sheikh Faisal bin AbdulAziz bin Jassem al Thani said in a statement, “We are pleased with our performance in the first half, particularly the momentum we saw in overall business growth and deposit growth in particular. The bank is well capitalised and has a strong liquidity position.

“These results highlight the bank’s ability to deliver long-term sustainable results for our shareholders”.

Ahlibank continues to enjoy favorable ratings from the top international credit rating agencies, he said.

أعلن البنك الأهلي عن تحقيق صافي أرباح بقيمة 359.3 مليون ريال للنصف الأول من عام 2019، بزيادة قدرها 1.7 % -أو 6 ملايين- مقارنة بالفترة ذاتها من العام الماضي. وتعليقاً على النتائج، صرح الشيخ فيصل بن عبدالعزيز بن جاسم آل ثاني -رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب للبنك الأهلي- قائلاً: «نحن سعداء بأدائنا في النصف الأول، خاصة النمو الذي شهدناه في الأعمال والودائع، يتمتع البنك الأهلي بأداء مالي متين تدعمه سيولة قوية، وتؤكد هذه النتائج قدرة البنك الأهلي على تحقيق نتائج مستدامة طويلة الأجل لمساهمينا، استمر البنك هذا العام بالحصول على تقييمات إيجابية، من أهم وكالات التصنيف الائتماني الدولية».

وأضاف رئيس مجلس الإدارة قائلاً: «أود أن أشكر كل من أسهم في تحقيق هذه النتائج الجيدة، كما أتقدم بالشكر إلى مصرف قطر المركزي على دعمه وإرشاده لنا المتواصل لنا».
