Texas A&M at Qatar students build car for race in Michigan
طلاب الهندسة بـ «تكساس» يصنعون مركبة لسباق الطلاب في ميشيغان
Texas A&M University at Qatar mechanical engineering students Ahmad Jamal Al-Kuwari, Alaa Abdalla and Ali Al-Ashar built and raced a car at the SAE Supermileage event in Michigan earlier this month.
The SAE Supermileage program is an engineering design competition for students that provides an opportunity to enhance their engineering design and project management skills by applying what they’ve learned in the classroom.
The engineering design goal was to develop and construct a single-person, fuel-efficient vehicle.
The vehicle was fully inspected in a series of tests to ensure it complied with the competition rules and passed.
قام كلّ من أحمد جمال الكواري وآلاء عبدالله وعلي العشار -طلاب قسم الهندسة الميكانيكية بجامعة تكساس إي أند أم في قطر- بالمشاركة بسباق «SAE Supermileage» المقام في ميشيغان في وقت سابق من هذا الشهر. ويعدّ برنامج «SAE Supermileage» مسابقةً للتصميم الهندسي للطلاب؛ حيث توفر هذه المسابقة الفرصة للطلاب لتعزيز مهاراتهم في التصميم الهندسي وإدارة المشاريع، وذلك من خلال تطبيق ما تعلموه في الصفوف الدراسية.
والهدف من التصميم الهندسي كان تصميم وبناء مركبة لشخص واحد ذات كفاءة في استهلاك الوقود؛ حيث تم فحص هذه المركبة بشكل كامل عبر سلسلة من الاختبارات لضمان امتثالها لقواعد المسابقة، وقد اجتارت هذه المراحل وحققت النجاح.
