QIB woos new customers with account opening facility on app
الإسلامي يبهر العملاء الجدد بخدمة فتح الحساب عبر تطبيق «جوال المصرف»
Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced the launch of a new digital onboarding process allowing prospective customers to start a relationship with the bank by opening a savings or Misk account through the QIB mobile app. This new development allows prospective QIB customers to open accounts in a fast, simple, and convenient way from the comfort of their home, office, or even when relaxing at a shopping mall or anywhere else.
Interested customers have to download the QIB mobile app and through the use of digital identification technology, scan the required documents (Qatari ID and passport in the case of expatriates), take a selfie, and fill a few remaining personal data.
Following quick real-time verification of the above, the account is set up and a bank representative will contact the customer within few minutes, to agree on a time and place to deliver their debit card and complete the process.
To facilitate a seamless experience, the bank has also introduced the new ‘Live Chat’ feature as part of the onboarding process.
This allows customers to directly get in touch with a QIB customer service representative if they have any queries or need further support at any time during the onboarding process.
D Anand, general manager, Personal Banking Group, said: “QIB takes pride in introducing the digital onboarding experience. The launch of this innovative process is testament to the bank’s commitment to the current digital demands.
“Digital onboarding will allow customers to conveniently and seamlessly open an account in few minutes enabling us to better serve our customers and eliminate the waiting hours and paperwork while starting a new banking relationship.”
QIB’s Misk Account is an innovative savings account that aims to encourage savings by building and rewarding positive financial habits. Every week, five lucky winners are rewarded with cash prizes worth QR10,000.
In addition, two monthly winners are getting cash prizes worth QR50,000 and one winner will receive the annual grand prize of QR1mn.
To enter the draw, the customer must maintain a minimum of QR10,000 and every additional QR10,000 earns the customer one more chance in the draw.
QIB, over the past few years, has taken strides in facilitating and accommodating customers’ digital needs. Most recently, the bank has launched Instant Finance — the fastest and simplest way to obtain personal financing in Qatar, which allows salaried Qatari customers to get pre-approved finance through QIB’s mobile app within minutes.

يتوجب على العملاء الجدد تحميل تطبيق «جوال المصرف» (QIB Mobile)، ومن ثَم استخدام تكنولوجيا التعريف الرقمية لمسح المستندات المطلوبة (البطاقة الشخصية القطرية وجواز السفر للمقيمين)، والتقاط صورة شخصية بكاميرا الجوال وتعبئة البيانات الشخصية المطلوبة. وعقب القيام بهذه الإجراءات السريعة الفورية للتحقق من المستندات السابقة يتم إعداد الحساب، وسيتواصل ممثل «المصرف» مع العميل خلال بضع دقائق للاتفاق على وقت ومكان تسليم بطاقة الخصم واستكمال إجراءات فتح الحساب.
تجربة سلسة
ولتوفير تجربة سلسة، قدّم «المصرف» أيضاً خاصية «المحادثة المباشرة» عبر تطبيق «جوال المصرف»، مما يتيح للعملاء التواصل مباشرة مع ممثل خدمة عملاء «المصرف» في حال كان لديهم أي استفسار أو الحصول على الدعم في أي وقت خلال عملية فتح الحساب.
وتعليقاً على إطلاق هذه الخدمة الجديدة، قال السيد د. أناند، المدير العام لمجموعة الخدمات المصرفية للأفراد في «المصرف»: «يأتي إطلاق هذه االخدمة المبتكرة ضمن سعي المصرف الدائم إلى تطوير وتحديث خدماته الرقمية وتلبية الطلب لاحتياجات العملاء الحاليين أو المهتمين بفتح حساب جديد مع المصرف».
وأضاف أناند: «من خلال الخدمة الرقمية الجديدة، سيتمكن العملاء الجدد من فتح حساب بسهولة ويسر خلال دقائق معدودة، مما يتيح لنا خدمة عملائنا بطريقة أفضل دون عناء الانتظار والخوض في المعاملات الورقية لبدء علاقة مصرفية جديدة».
حساب «مسك»
يهدف حساب «مسك» المبتكر من «المصرف» إلى التشجيع على ثقافة الادخار من خلال تبنّي عادات مالية حكيمة وإيجابية. وفي كل أسبوع، يتم اختيار 5 فائزين محظوظين للفوز بجائزة نقدية قيمتها 10,000 ريال لكل منهم. بالإضافة إلى فائزين شهرياً يحصلون على جوائز نقدية قيمتها 50,000 ريال، وفائز محظوظ سيحصل على الجائزة الكبرى وقيمتها 1,000,000 ريال.
للتأهل والحصول على فرصة الدخول بالسحب، يتوجب على العميل الاحتفاظ بحد أدنى 10,000 ريال. كما أن كل 10,000 ريال إضافية تمنح العميل فرصة إضافية في السحب
