Ezdan Summer Festival to begin from Thursday

Doha: Ezdan Summer Festival will be launched on Thursday evening at Ezdan Mall in Al Gharafa and Ezdan Mall in Al Wakrah.

The festival’s events will be held and will continue on Thursdays and Fridays for three hours, from 6 to 9 pm and will be concluded on August 16. Ezdan Mall Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah will feature a variety of new and innovative family activities.

Yehia Zakaria, Lease Manager at Ezdan Mall, an Ezdan Holding Group company, said that shoppers and mall goers will be welcomed by costume characters from the sweets factory and gigantic ice cream that will share with them the joys of Ezdan Summer Festival in Al Gharafa mall. In Al Wakrah Mall, shoppers will go on a journey to outer space along with aliens, which will welcome them to tell them all their world beyond the galaxy and take them in a tour inside the mall around the spacecraft where kids will be welcomed and win gifts.

Zakaria assured that the events of Ezdan Summer Festival were carefully picked with the families in mind and to be presented in a way that suits the varying age groups. He added that “we do focus on kids in this type of activity but we still do our best to present different shoppers with suitable entertaining activities. Our shows and mobile performances are especially meant to spread an atmosphere of joy and merry. This benefits both domestic tourism in general and the commercial market in particular. He thanked all shop and restaurants owners in Ezdan Al Gharafa & Al Wakrah for their support and contribution to the success of the events. They helped in the shows and contributed gifts to be given to shoppers during events, competitions…etc.”

Yehia added that Ezdan Mall has a comprehensive events plan for the entire year that will grant visitors of Ezdan Mall Al Gharafa & Al Wakrah a unique experience, “the events plan will be advertised on time. They include festivals and celebrations in addition to various entertainment and shopping campaigns that are both new and unique.” He expressed his hopes that it will satisfy the expectations and tastes of shoppers and families.

Mai Khorshid, Marketing Executive at Ezdan Mall, added that the events of Ezdan Summer Festival were chosen for their innovation in theme, performances and competitions. She said, “For the first time, we are constructing sweet figures and a large sweet factory inside the mall. The idea should attract adults as well as kids as we can all relate to it. Decors and customs of characters, that will perform the mobile performances in each mall department, were carefully designed in a very attractive style. We added huge, brightly colored ornaments. The platform on which kid activities will be performed will feature a lovely big ice cream biscuit. I believe that the sight will make the audiences mouths water, especially kids.” She mentioned that events will mainly focus on children between the ages 3 and 12, a workshop is especially prepared for them to make their own huge sweets-paper mâché in addition to event-inspired coloring sessions and marshmallow diving race to uncover hidden prizes.

Shoppers and mall goers in Ezdan Al Wakrah will have a very different experience. Aliens have landed there to participate in the Ezdan Summer Festival and parked their spacecraft at the mall. They are now spread throughout the mall and on each entrance, awaiting the launch of festival to welcome visitors and audience, give them a tour and take pictures together, especially with children to whom several events and entertaining workshops are prepared, not to mention all the competitions, awards and gifts. It is noted that Ezdan Mall hosts several cultural, sports and entertainment events throughout the year.

This is due to the Mall’s culture of fostering and attracting people from all walks of life, providing them with entertainment and education, all in one fun, shopping happy way to grant happiness and joy to all visitors of the mall.

تنطلق مساء الخميس المقبل فعاليات «مهرجان صيف إزدان» في كل من «إزدان مول» في الغرافة، و«إزدان مول» في الوكرة؛ حيث ستستمر أيام الخميس والجمعة حتى 16 أغسطس، لمدة 3 ساعات من الساعة السادسة وحتى التاسعة مساء.

وسيشهد مجمعا إزدان في الغرافة والوكرة باقة متنوعة من الفعاليات الاحتفالية العائلية المتميزة والجديدة، والهادفة إلى خلق أجواء عائلية مميزة تمزج بين الترفيه والتسوق.

وبهذه المناسبة، قال السيد يحيى زكريا، مدير التأجير بشركة «إزدان مول» -التابعة لمجموعة إزدان القابضة-: «إن جمهور المتسوقين والزوار لمول إزدان الغرافة سيستقبلون من قِبل شخصيات مصنع الحلويات التي أحضرت معها «آيس كريم» عملاق، وجاءت خصيصاً للاحتفال معهم في «مهرجان صيف إزدان» في مول الغرافة، فيما سيذهب نظراؤهم في مول الوكرة في رحلة إلى الفضاء الخارجي، برفقة الكائنات الفضائية التي ستكون باستقبالهم لتخبرهم عن عالمها خلف المجرة، وتأخذهم داخل المول في جولة حول الصحن الفضائي؛ حيث تحتفي بالأطفال وتقدّم لهم الهدايا».

فقرات ترفيهية مبتكرة

وأكد زكريا، خلال مؤتمر صحافي أقيم أمس، أنه تم اختيار فقرات فعاليات «مهرجان صيف إزدان» بعناية خاصة، وأنه تم الحرص على الطابع العائلي المتنوع، وتقديمه بما يليق ويتناسب مع فئات عمرية متعددة، متوقعاً زيارة أكثر من ألف عائلة يومياً خلال يومي الخميس والجمعة من كل أسبوع.

وأضاف: «بالرغم من أننا في هذا النوع من الفعاليات نركز على شريحة الأطفال، فإننا نسعى في كل مرة إلى ابتكار فقرات ترفيهية قريبة من ذوق جمهور المتسوقين، لا سيّما من خلال العروض والفعاليات المتجولة؛ بهدف نشر أجواء البهجة والفرح في أرجاء المول كافة، مما يساهم في تنشيط السياحة الداخلية بشكل عام والحركة التجارية بصفة خاصة».

وأشار إلى أن «إزدان مول» لديه خطة فعاليات متكاملة ومتنوعة على مدار العام، ستقدم تجربة متميزة لزوار مول إزدان في الغرافة، ومول إزدان في الوكرة؛ لافتاً إلى أنه سيتم الإعلان عن برنامج الفعاليات تباعاً، وهي تتضمن مهرجانات واحتفالات، ومعارض مختلفة وحملات ترفيهية وترويجية تسويقية جديدة ومتنوعة، معرباً عن أمله في أن تلقى إعجاب جمهور المتسوقين والعائلات على اختلاف فئاتهم وتطلعاتهم.

أنشطة عائلية

ومن جانبها، قالت السيدة مي خورشيد -المسؤولة التنفيذية للتسويق في «إزدان مول»- إن برامج فعاليات «مهرجان صيف إزدان» تأتي ضمن إطار الحرص على طرح أنشطة عائلية جديدة تكون مميزة في موضوعها وفقراتها ومسابقاتها.

وأضافت: «إن فكرة إنشاء مجسمات حلوى ومصنع كبير للحلويات داخل المول لم يسبق أن قمنا بها من قبل، وهي فكرة نعتقد أنها ستجذب الكبار قبل الصغار».

وأشارت إلى أن النصيب الأكبر من الفعاليات سيكون للأطفال بين عمر 3 و12 سنة؛ حيث تم إعداد ورشة عمل خاصة بهم لعمل أشكال حلوى ورقية عملاقة، وورش تلوين من وحي موضوع الفعالية، ومسابقات البحث عن الهدايا في حوض المارشميلو.
