First ‘City in Space’ theme park in the world to open in Doha

Doha: Msheireb Downtown Doha will be home of Juniverse, an innovative theme park for children that will be the first city in space.
The announcement was made during an agreement signing between Msheireb Properties, the national real estate developer and a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, and Talal Bin Mohammed Trading (TBMT).
Juniverse will offer an engaging and dynamic learning experience to inspire, educate, and entertain children aged 4-17 years. With over 50 attractions and rides, this world-first edutainment park will engage youth in exciting, futuristic missions necessary to keep society safe and sustainable.
Children will learn to perform a variety of challenging role-playing activities such as growing and harvesting their own food and conducting medical surgeries and many others. In addition, adults will enjoy team building activities and programmes. The park will include multiple food and beverages outlets, retail stores, and various attractions, utilising leading-edge technology to completely revolutionise entertainment for young people.
Commenting on the agreement, Ali Al-Kuwari, Acting CEO of Msheireb Properties, said: “Opening a first-in-the-world theme park such as Juniverse aligns with our promise to create a city of firsts at the heart of Doha. The edutainment centre will be located at the Galleria, an enclosed air-conditioned shopping mall, making Msheireb Downtown Doha a family and tourist destination in Qatar with unique experiences that are not available anywhere else. We are very happy with this collaboration with TBMT and we look forward to the opening soon.”

Recently, Msheireb Properties announced a series of agreements with various leading entities to introduce SMART and first-to-market concepts at Msheireb Downtown Doha, such as; Monoprix’s first SMART hypermarket in the region, and HSBC’s first digital branch. This aligns with Msheireb Properties commitment to offer unique experiences and concepts at the world’s smartest and most sustainable fully-built city district, and Doha’s new city centre.
تنطلق من مشيرب قلب الدوحة، الوجهة الجديدة للترفيه والمعيشة والأعمال في قطر، مدينة جونيفرس الترفيهية، أول مدينة فضائية متكاملة للأطفال في العالم، حيث وقعت شركة مشيرب العقارية، المطور العقاري الوطني والشركة التابعة لمؤسسة قطر، اتفاقية شراكة مع شركة طلال بن محمد للتجاره (TBMT) والتي تعمل من قطرعلى تطوير مدن ترفيهية بمفاهيم مبتكرة.
توفر جونيفرس هذه المدينة الترفيهية للأطفال تجربة تفاعليّة وديناميكية تجمع بين التعليم والترفيه، وتشجع الأطفال من عمر 4 إلى 17 عاماً على الابداع والابتكار.
وتحتضن جونيفرس أكثر من 50 لعبة، يقوم من خلالها الأطفال بمهمّات في إطار مستقبليّ بهدف الحفاظ على سلامة المجتمع واستدامته. كما سيتسنى لهم خوض العديد من التحديات وأداء الأدوار، والتي تشمل زراعة وحصاد طعامهم، وإجراء العمليات الجراحية وغيرها. كذلك سيستمتع البالغون ببرامج خاصة لتنمية ترابط فرق العمل. يتضمن المتنزه أيضاً العديد من المطاعم وأركان المشروبات، بالإضافة إلى المتاجر وغيرها من الوجهات التي تستخدم أحدث التقنيات التي ستشكّل ثورة في عالم الترفيه والتعلم.
وقال السيد علي الكواري، الرئيس التنفيذي بالإنابة لشركة مشيرب العقارية، في تعليق على الاتفاقية “لقد وعدنا الجمهور في قطر أن نوفر لهم خدمات مبتكرة في مشيرب قلب الدوحة، بما في ذلك الخدمات الترفيهية العائلية مثل مدينة “جونيفرس” التي تعد الأولى من نوعها في العالم. سيكون مقر هذه المدينة الفضائية في الغاليريا، المجمع التجاري الرئيسي في مشيرب، وكلي ثقة أن المدينة ستكون عامل جذب مهم للسياحة الداخلية والخارجية في قطر. ونحن نسعد بهذه الاتفاقية مع شركة طلال بن محمد للتجاره (TBMT) ونتطلع إلى الافتتاح قريباً.”

يذكر أن مشيرب العقارية كانت قد أعلنت مؤخراً عن عدد من الاتفاقيات التي تم توقيعها مع شركات وهيئات مختلفة لتقديم خدمات تعد الأولى من نوعها في قطر أو في المنطقة مثل أول هايبرماركت ذكي من مونوبري وأول فرع بنك رقمي لأتش أس بي سي. ويأتي ذلك في إطار استراتيجية الشركة لتقديم تجربة مميزة في مشيرب قلب الدوحة، الحي الذكي والأكثر استدامة في العالم، ومركز المدينة الجديد وقلبها النابض.
