Doha: The Ministry of the Interior has announced the arrest of an international criminal organization that used stolen bank cards to seize money and deposit it in a company account in cooperation with its employees.
The Ministry said in a press release today that the Department of Combating Economic and Electronic Crimes at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation managed to arrest an international criminal organization after they used POS machines to withdraw money using international bank cards (stolen) and thus seized limited money and then deposited in the accounts of different companies in cooperation with employees working there.
It added that by comparing the business activity of companies with the financial draw of the card shows the lack of financial relationship, and accordingly, a search warrant was obtained for the residence of the accused and point-of-sale devices and withdrawal receipts were seized, confirming the defendants’ recognition of the charges attributed to them during the investigation, and that they were referred to the concerned authorities to complete procedures.
تمكنت إدارة مكافحة الجرائم الاقتصادية والإلكترونية بالإدارة العامة للمباحث الجنائية من القبض على شخصين من تنظيم عصابي دولي وذلك بعد قيامهما باستخدام أجهزة نقاط البيع في سحب مبالغ مالية من خلال بطاقات مصرفية دولية (مسروقة)، و الاستيلاء على مبالغ مالية محدودة و إيداعها في حسابات شركات مختلفة بالتعاون مع موظفين في هذه الشركات.
وبمقارنة النشاط التجاري للشركات مع السحب المالي تبين عدم وجود علاقة مالية في عمليات السحب بالبطاقات، وعليه تم الحصول على إذن تفتيش لمقر إقامة المتهميْن و تم ضبط أجهزة نقاط البيع وإيصالات السحب وبالتحقيق معهما تم الاعتراف بالتهم، وتمت إحالتهما إلى الجهات العدلية لاستكمال إجراءاتها المعتادة.
