Vodafone provides Qatar Islamic Bank access to its ‘Giganet 5G’

Building on a series of successful milestones since switching on its first live 5G network in August last year, Vodafone Qatar announced yesterday that it was providing QIB with access to its state-of-the-art GigaNet 5G network.

Vodafone and QIB’s partnership began in 2014 and has grown over the years. Having provided the country’s largest Islamic bank with solutions such as mobile and fixed services as well as bulk SMS services, Vodafone aims to help businesses succeed in a digital world.

Building on the successful partnership, Vodafone’s 5G deployment at QIB included a landmark video conference session between QIB’s Fanar office, and its headquarters in Bank Street, which took place with a flawless connection demonstrating the low latency benefits and high speed of 5G.

Mahday al-Hebabi, director (Business Sales) at Vodafone Qatar said, “Vodafone is committed to supporting the country’s businesses with high-tech solutions, thus contributing to creating a strong business sector in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. We are extremely proud to build on our on-going collaboration with QIB and provide it with our 5G network. The innovative technology will enhance the bank’s productivity and improve customer service.” QIB has made significant progress, ushering in a new age of banking by adapting innovative technologies and deploying digital initiatives.

And now, QIB has adopted Vodafone’s 5G over Wi-Fi solution for internal use. From banking to real estate, Vodafone Qatar has been working on creating a strong digital ecosystem by providing key businesses in the country with its world-class solutions.

أعلنت «فودافون قطر»، أمس، عن تزويد مصرف قطر الإسلامي بشبكة جيجانت الجيل الخامس (5G)، لتتوّج بذلك سلسلة من الإنجازات المهمة عقب البدء بتشغيل شبكة الجيل الخامس في أغسطس الماضي. بدأت الشراكة بين «فودافون قطر» ومصرف قطر الإسلامي في عام 2014، وواصلت نموها القوي خلال السنوات الماضية لتقدّم حلولها المتطورة لأكبر مصرف إسلامي في قطر، مثل خدمات الجوال والثابت والرسائل النصية التجارية. وتهدف «فودافون» إلى دعم قطاع الشركات وتعزيز نجاحها في العالم الرقمي.

وقد تكللت هذه الشراكة الناجحة بنشر شبكة الجيل الخامس من «فودافون» في مصرف قطر الإسلامي، وتضمّن ذلك اتصالاً ناجحاً عن طريق الفيديو بين فرع «المصرف» في مركز الشيخ عبدالله بن زيد آل محمود الثقافي الإسلامي (الفنار) وبين مقره الرئيسي في شارع حمد الكبير بطريقة ممتازة ومن دون أية أعطال، وذلك يرجع إلى قدرات شبكة الجيل الخامس الفائقة على خفض زمن الوصول إلى الشبكة والسرعة العالية.

بهذه المناسبة، قال السيد مهدي الحبابي، رئيس قطاع مبيعات الشركات الكبرى لدى «فودافون قطر»: «تلتزم (فودافون) بدعم الشركات في قطر عبر تزويدها بالحلول التقنية المتطورة، في إطار مساهمتنا في دعم قطاع الأعمال؛ تحقيقاً لرؤية قطر الوطنية 2030. ونحن فخورون جداً بتعزيز تعاوننا الحالي مع مصرف قطر الإسلامي، عبر تزويده بشبكة فودافون الجيل الخامس (5G). وكلنا ثقة بأن هذه التكنولوجيا المبتكرة ستساهم في تحسين إنتاجية (المصرف) وتطوير قطاع خدمة العملاء».

ويواصل مصرف قطر الإسلامي تقدّمه الكبير في مجال الخدمات المصرفية، عبر تطبيق مبادرات رقمية رائدة وتبنّي أحدث التقنيات المبتكرة، ممهداً لحقبة جديدة في هذا المجال. وقد باشر «المصرف» حالياً باستخدام شبكة الجيل الخامس من فودافون (5G) لتوفير حلول الاتصال اللاسلكي للموظفين.

وتواصل «فودافون» جهودها الحثيثة لإرساء بيئة رقمية متكاملة راسخة، عبر تزويد الشركات الكبرى في قطر بحلولها الرقمية عالمية المستوى، ابتداء بالمصارف وانتهاء بقطاع العقارات.
