QF welcomes IPU leaders, delegates to Education City
وفد «الاتحاد» يطّلع على مبادرات مؤسسة قطر
DOHA: Leading figures in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and delegates attending the global organisation’s 140th Assembly – which is currently taking place in Doha – have visited Qatar Foundation (QF).
Members of the IPU’s executive committee were given an overview of QF’s mission during their visit to Education City, and learned about the organization’s education, science and research, and community development initiatives and entities from the open-air viewing platform at the 2015 building (QF Headquarters). They were accompanied by Dr Richard O’Kennedy, Qatar Foundation Vice President for Research, Development, and Innovation, and Aysha Al Mudahka, Director, Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships Development, QF.
During the 140th Assembly of the IPU, which concludes today, numerous delegates have visited QF, including Marta Grande, President of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament; Pier Ferdinando Casini, Honorary President of the IPU; and members of the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments, a consultative body of the IPU.
قامت شخصيات قيادية في الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي والوفود المشاركة في الدورة الـ 140 للاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، التي تعقد حالياً في الدوحة، بزيارة إلى مؤسسة قطر.
وتعرّف أعضاء اللجنة التنفيذية للاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، على مبادرات مؤسسة قطر ومراكزها العديدة في مجال التعليم، والعلوم، والبحوث، وتنمية المجتمع، من خلال نبذة تعريفية أثناء زيارتهم لشرفة الطابق الثامن في مبنى 2015 (المقر الرئيسي لمؤسسة قطر)، ورافقهم كل من الدكتور ريتشارد أوكيندي، نائب رئيس البحوث والتطوير والابتكار بمؤسسة قطر، والسيدة عائشة المضاحكة، مدير المبادرات الاستراتيجية وتطوير الشراكات بمؤسسة قطر.
وخلال الدورة الـ 140 للاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، والتي تختتم أعمالها اليوم الأربعاء، قام العديد من المندوبين بزيارة لمؤسسة قطر، ومنهم السيدة مارتا جراندي، رئيسة لجنة الشؤون الخارجية والأوروبية في مجلس النواب الإيطالي، والسيد بيير فرديناندو كاسيني، الرئيس الفخري للاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، وأعضاء جمعية الأمناء العامين للبرلمانات الوطنية، وهي هيئة استشارية للاتحاد البرلماني الدولي.
