Qatargas highlights long-term relationship with China
«قطر غاز» تسلّط الضوء على علاقتها العريقة مع الصين
DOHA: Qatargas Operating Company Limited (Qatargas) recently participated in the 19th International Conference & Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG2019) which was held from 1-5th April in Shanghai, China.
Qatargas’ delegation consisted of senior officials from the company who met with several stakeholders and customers. Qatargas highlighted the Company’s long-term relationship with China alongside Qatar Petroleum. Qatargas has reliably supplied LNG to China for 10 years, having safely delivered more than 500 cargoes of LNG to date.
Qatargas established its Beijing Representative Office (BRO) in China in November 2009 to facilitate easy access to both existing and potential LNG buyers in the country. The BRO team, also celebrating a decade of Beijing office setup, have supported in establishing Qatargas’ long-term relationship with China.
During the conference, Hamad Al Karbi, Control System Engineer at Qatargas, presented a poster addressing ‘Reliable Hydrates Management for Gas Pipelines by Utilising Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) Supply’. Two major projects – the Flow Assurance Project (FAP) and Flow Assurance Expansion Project (FAXP) were developed and commissioned by Qatargas to supply Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) to the major gas producers’ offshore platforms within the North Field. The project ensures injection of MEG during the winter season to mitigate hydrate formation and potential blockage of gas pipelines and eliminate the injection of Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitors (KHI).
The paper focused on the criticality and importance of the two flow assurance projects, the robustness of the infrastructure built to ensure reliable supply of MEG, and the challenges overcome during the planning and the execution phases of the projects.
With more than 11,000 attendees from 550 industry participants, LNG2019 is a significant global LNG event, and an important occasion for energy professionals working in the natural gas industry.
شاركت شركة «قطرغاز» للتشغيل المحدودة، مؤخراً، في المؤتمر والمعرض الدولي التاسع عشر للغاز الطبيعي المسال (LNG2019)، الذي انعقد في الفترة من 1 إلى 5 أبريل في شنغهاي بجمهورية الصين الشعبية.
ضم وفد «قطرغاز» للمؤتمر فريق الإدارة العليا بالشركة الذين التقوا كبار المساهمين والعملاء. وسلّطت «قطرغاز» الضوء على علاقة الشركة طويلة الأمد مع الصين إلى جانب «قطر للبترول». قامت «قطرغاز» بتزويد الصين الغاز الطبيعي المسال بشكل موثوق به لمدة 10 سنوات؛ حيث سلّمت بأمان أكثر من 500 شحنة حتى الآن.
أسست «قطرغاز» مكتب تمثيل بكين في الصين في نوفمبر 2009 لتسهيل الوصول إلى كل من مشتري الغاز الطبيعي المسال الحاليين والمحتملين في البلاد. تمثل الصين سوقاً مهماً لـ «قطرغاز» مع الكثير من فرص النمو.
ورقة عمل
هذا، وقد قدّم السيد حمد الكربي -مهندس أنظمة التحكم في «قطرغاز»- ورقة عمل خلال المؤتمر بعنوان «إدارة هيدرات موثوق بها لخطوط أنابيب الغاز من خلال استخدام التوريد لمونو إيثيلين جليكول (MEG)».
وركزت الورقة على أهمية مشروعي ضمان التدفق، وقوة البنية التحتية المصممة لضمان توفير إمدادات موثوق بها من (MEG)، والتحديات التي تم التغلب عليها أثناء مراحل تخطيط وتنفيذ المشاريع.
