Qatar Airways wins two awards at the Oman Airports Awards 2019
“القطرية” تحصد جائزتين مرموقتين من “جوائز مطارات عمان” 2019
Qatar Airways announced yesterday that it has been named ‘Best Route Network Developing Airline’ and ‘Best Contribution to O&D Development Foreign Airline’ at the Oman Airports Awards 2019.
The awards were presented at a ceremony that took place recently at Al Bustan Palace in Muscat to recognise companies operating at airports throughout the Sultanate of Oman.
The ‘Best Route Network Developing Airline’ award commends Qatar Airways’ network development strategy and robust expansion around the globe, while the ‘Best Contribution to O&D Development Foreign Airline’ highlights the airline’s services to the Sultanate of Oman. The National Carrier of the State of Qatar operates 70 flights per week to three Omani gateways: Muscat, Salalah and Sohar.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are delighted to receive these awards from our Omani partners, as they recognise our dedication to people of Oman and celebrates the longstanding and important relationship Qatar Airways shares with the Sultanate of Oman. Oman has always been a key market for us, with 70 direct flights to three destinations in Oman, and will continue to be so in the future.”
State-owned Oman Airports Management Company is responsible for the management and operations of civil airports in the Sultanate of Oman. The infrastructure of the airports, including terminal buildings, cargo building, runway, apron, car parking and other facilities, are directly under the management of Oman Airports Management Company.
The National Carrier of the State of Qatar has been flying to Oman since 2000, when it first began direct services to the Omani capital, Muscat. In 2013, Salalah was added to the airline’s expanding network as the second destination, followed by Sohar in 2017.
A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named ‘World’s Best Business Class’ by the 2018 World Airline Awards, managed by international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. It was also named ‘Best Business Class Seat’, ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’, and ‘World’s Best First-Class Airline Lounge’.
حازت الخطوط الجوية القطرية جائزة “أفضل شبكة خطوط جوية نمواً في عدد الركاب والحركة الجوية” وجائزة “أفضل مساهم في تعدد المنشآت لشركات الطيران الأجنبية” التي تشغّل رحلات من وإلى مطارات سلطنة عمان وذلك خلال الحفل السنوي لجوائز مطارات عمان 2019.
بهذه المناسبة عبر سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن سعادته بفوز الشركة بهاتين الجائزتين من الجانب العماني، مؤكدا أنهما تمثلان دليلاً آخر على مدى التزام الخطوط الجوية القطرية بتقديم أفضل الخدمات، واحتفالاً بالعلاقات طويلة الأمد التي تربط البلدين.
وتابع الباكر بالقول “لطالما كانت عُمان وجهة رئيسية بالنسبة لنا، خاصة مع تسييرنا لـ70 رحلة أسبوعياً إلى ثلاث وجهات فيها، الأمر الذي سنحرص على الالتزام به وتعزيزه في المستقبل”.
وتعكس جائزة “أفضل شبكة خطوط جوية نمواً في عدد الركاب والحركة الجوية” استراتيجية الخطوط الجوية القطرية الرائدة في تطوير شبكتها المتنامية والتوسع في جميع أنحاء العالم، في حين تسلط جائزة ” أفضل مساهم في تعدد المنشآت لشركات الطيران الأجنبية” الضوء على جودة خدمات الخطوط الجوية في سلطنة عمان.
وسيّرت الخطوط الجوية القطرية أولى رحلاتها إلى سلطنة عمان في عام 2000 ، وفي عام 2013، أضافت الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر مدينة صلالة إلى شبكة وجهاتها العالمية، وفي عام 2017 ّ دشنت رحلاتها إلى مدينة صحار.
وحازت الخطوط الجوية القطرية مؤخراً على جائزة أفضل درجة رجال أعمال في العالم ضمن جوائز سكاي تراكس العالمية 2018. كما حصدت الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر جائزة أفضل مقعد على درجة رجال الأعمال في العالم، وجائزة أفضل شركة طيران في الشرق الأوسط، وجائزة أفضل صالة انتظار لمسافري الدرجة الأولى في العالم.
وتعتبر الشركة العمانية لإدارة المطارات هي شركة حكومية مسؤولة عن إدارة وتشغيل المطارات المدنية في سلطنة عمان، وتتولى الإدارة المباشرة للبنية الأساسية لهذه المطارات كمبنى المسافرين ومبنى الشحن والمدرج ومواقف السيارات والمرافق الأخرى.
