Commercial Bank hosts Turkish venture capital investment meet

DOHA: Commercial Bank and its Turkish subsidiary Alternatif Bank have partnered with The Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey to host an investment event featuring Turkish venture capital funds for the Bank’s high net worth customers.
The event was held in the presence of Fikret Ozer, Turkish Ambassador to Qatar; Ahmet Burak Daglıoglu, Vice President of The Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey; and Alternatif Bank CEO Kaan Gur.
Guests then heard a technical presentation on the Turkish venture capital and startup ecosystem, followed by presentations from four Turkish venture capital funds. One-to-one meetings with Turkish venture capital funds and potential investors were arranged after a networking lunch.
To open proceedings, Commercial Bank EGM, International Banking Fahad Badar, stated that Turkey and Qatar are two brotherly countries and that Commercial Bank and Alternatif Bank together consider themselves at the forefront of the strategic relationship between Qatar and Turkey.
Badar said: “Commercial Bank and Alternatif Bank’s support for two-way investment between Qatar and Turkey is among our top priorities. We are two well-established banks on both sides, and through close collaboration and cross-border expertise we can effectively facilitate trade, serve the banking needs, and provide investment opportunities for parties in Turkey and Qatar.” Alternatif Bank CEO Kaan Gür said: “Turkey continues to attract the attention of international investors thanks to its young population, its agile composition that can easily adapt to technology and its strong finance industry.
Turkish start-ups achieved an outstanding success last year by striking important deals and attracting investments.’ “ We believe that this meeting is a great opportunity to promote the high-potential start-ups in our country to Qatari investors, and we are pleased to support this process with Commercial Bank’s support and our experience in the banking industry. أقام البنك التجاري بالتعاون مع «ألترناتيف بنك» -البنك التركي التابع له- شراكة مع مكتب الاستثمار التابع لرئاسة الجمهورية التركية، لاستضافة فعالية فرص استثمار في صناديق رأس المال الجريء التركي لعملاء البنك من أصحاب رؤوس الأموال (أصحاب الثروات).
وقد ألقى بيان الترحيب سعادة السفير فكرت أوزير سفير الجمهورية التركية في قطر، والسيد أحمد بوراك داغلي أوغلو نائب رئيس المكتب الاستثماري التابع لرئاسة الجمهورية التركية، بالإضافة إلى السيد كعان غُر الرئيس التنفيذي لـ «ألترناتيف بنك». واستمع الحضور إلى عرض توضيحي تقني بشأن رأس المال الجريء التركي، وكيفية الشروع في دعم هذا النظام الجديد، ثم تلته عروض توضيحية مقدمة من أربعة صناديق لرؤوس الأموال الجريئة في تركيا.
لقاءات ثنائية
وتم تنظيم لقاءات ثنائية بين أصحاب صناديق رؤوس الأموال الجريئة والمستثمرين المحتملين بعد حفل غذاء جماعي. واستعداداً لبدء إجراءات الحفل، أشاد السيد فهد بادار -مدير عام تنفيذي رئيس الخدمات المصرفية الدولية في البنك التجاري- بالعلاقات بين الدولتين، مؤكداً أن تركيا وقطر دولتان شقيقتان، وأن العلاقة بين البنك التجاري و»ألترناتيف بنك» في طليعة العلاقات الاستراتيجية بين الدولتين.
وأضاف «أن دعم البنك التجاري وألترناتيف بنك للاستثمارات الثنائية بين قطر وتركيا يأتي على رأس أولوياتنا، فكلا البنكين من البنوك العريقة في دولته الأمر الذي يساعد، من خلال توثيق أواصر التعاون وتبادل الخبرات الدولية، على تيسير الأعمال التجارية بصورة فعالة، وتلبية الاحتياجات المصرفية، بجانب توفير فرص الاستثمار للأطراف في تركيا وقطر».
نجاح

فرص استثمارية
