Ahli Bank records QR178m net profit for Q1

DOHA: Ahli Bank QSC (ABQK) announced a net profit of QR177.5m for the first three months of 2019, an increase of 0.8 percent or QR1.3m over the same period last year.

Commenting on the results, Sheikh Faisal bin AbdulAziz bin Jassem Al Thani, Chairman and Managing Director of Ahlibank stated, “I am pleased to announce that the Bank started the year 2019 with a profit growth and steady performance across the board. The Bank is well capitalised with a capital adequacy ratio of 18 percnet, which is well above the regulatory requirements. Ahlibank continues to enjoy favourable Ratings from the top international Credit Rating agencies. During the first quarter, the Bank made significant progress in gathering customer deposits and liquidity. Loans and advances also grew steadily to add strength to our relentless focus on adding value to our shareholders on a sustainable basis.” The Chairman added, “I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to these good results. I also want to thank Qatar Central Bank for their leadership, guidance and support.”

حقق البنك الأهلي صافي ربح قدره 177.5 مليون ريال خلال الأشهر الثلاثة الأولى من العام الحالي، بزيادة قدرها 0.8% أو 1.3 مليون مقارنة بالفترة ذاتها من العام الماضي.

وتعليقاً على هذه النتائج، صرح الشيخ فيصل بن عبد العزيز بن جاسم آل ثاني -رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب للبنك الأهلي- قائلاً: يسرني أن أعلن أن البنك الأهلي بدأ عام 2019 بنمو في الأرباح وأداء ثابت في المجالات كافة، حيث بلغت نسبة كفاية رأس المال 18%، وهي نسبة أعلى من المتطلبات التنظيمية، ولا يزال البنك الأهلي يتمتع بتصنيفات ائتمانية مميزة من أكبر وكالات التصنيفات الائتمانية الدولية. وخلال الربع الأول من هذا العام تم التركيز على زيادة ودائع العملاء والسيولة مما انعكس على أداء البنك الثابت، كما نمت محفظة القروض بشكل ملحوظ ما أضاف قوةً لدعم جهود البنك الدائمة والثابتة لتحقيق قيمة إضافية وعائداً ثابتاً على حقوق المساهمين.

وأضاف الشيخ فيصل: «أود أن أشكر كل من ساهم في تحقيق هذه النتائج، كما أود أن أشكر مصرف قطر المركزي على دعمه وإرشاده المتواصل لنا».
