QTerminals provides incentives for main shipping lines

Doha: QTerminals announced that it will offer incentives to the main shipping lines that have direct services calling at Hamad Port and do not transship within a range of 250 Nm from Hamad Port.

The incentives will be granted as of Friday, and nature and mechanism followed in their application will be revealed later, QTerminals said yesterday.

QTerminals is a terminal operating company jointly established by Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani), which owns 51 percent of the company, and Qatar Navigation (Milaha), which owns the remaining 49 percent. QTerminals is responsible for enabling Qatar’s imports and exports, its maritime trade flows and stimulating economic growth locally and regionally.

أعلنت شركة كيوتيرمنلز، أنها ستمنح حوافز لخطوط الشحن الرئيسية التي تسير رحلات مباشرة من وإلى ميناء حمد دون استخدام الموانئ الوسيطة الواقعة ضمن حدود 250 ميلا بحريا منه.

وقالت الشركة اليوم، إن هذه الحوافز ستمنح اعتبارا من غد الجمعة، على أن تقوم في وقت لاحق بتوضيح طبيعتها والآلية المتبعة في تطبيقها.

يشار إلى أن شركة كيوتيرمنلز تم تأسيسها مؤخرا بالشراكة بين الشركة القطرية لإدارة الموانئ “مواني قطر” التي تمتلك 51% فيها ومجموعة ملاحة التي تمتلك 49% الباقية.

واستهدف إطلاق “كيوتيرمنلز” تشغيل المرحلة الأولى من ميناء حمد، الذي يتمتع بإمكانيات ضخمة ومرافق حديثة وأنظمة متطورة تساهم في زيادة حجم التجارة البينية لقطر مع مختلف دول العالم.
