Over 7,000 people visit kite festival
أكثر من 7000 شخص يزورون مهرجان الطائرات الورقية
Over 7,000 visitors have flocked to the Aspire Zone Foundation park for the third edition of the Aspire International Kite Festival. Families from Qatar’s communities revelled in a fun-filled atmosphere to learn about the latest and greatest trends in kite making and flying.
The blue skies about Aspire were filled with a hundred vivid kite designs that were inspired by creatures from the desert and the sea. Kites reflecting colourful whales, fish, octopuses, giraffes were joined by a gigantic dragon and a series of horses.
Commenting on the huge number of visitors that were in attendance, a member of the organising committee of the Aspire International Kite Festival, Tahani Khalifa Al Suwaidi, said: “The fact that thousands of visitors were scattered across Aspire park during the very first day of the festival exceeded our expectations. Guests were treated to exclusive kites designed by international teams. I would like to invite people from all walks of life to come and see activities on offer at the Festival.”
This year’s edition of the festival saw kites portraying contemporary designs from all over the world. From the Eastern participants, India’s team was seen flying their handmade bright kites that depicted the rich heritage of India.
On the other side of the field, the French kite professionals flew kites displaying French modern and contemporary art. The Italian team was also present with their spectacular kites at the very centre of the field. The Kuwaiti team’s impressive presence was strongly felt, with kites flown by the team comprising of Abdelrahman Al Faresi, Mohammed Al Farasi, Mubarak Marzooq, Mohammed Al Mosowy, and Saoud Al Ghareeb
مهرجان الطائرات الورقية في «أسباير» يصل محطة الختام اليوم
تنظم مؤسسة أسباير زون اليوم السبت، -بمشاركة كبار المسؤولين الساعة- السابعة مساءً، حفل ختام وتتويج الفرق والمدارس المشاركة في مهرجان أسباير الدولي الثالث للطائرات الورقية، والفائزين بمسابقة أفضل صورة فوتوغرافية خلال المهرجان، معلنة بذلك وصول قطار الحدث العالمي السنوي إلى محطته النهائية.
وخلال يومي الأربعاء والخميس الماضيين استطاع المهرجان استقطاب ما يقرب من 20 ألف زائر، وشارك في ورش العمل الصباحية المخصصة للمدارس ما يزيد عن 2500 طالب وطالبة من مختلف مدارس الدولة، كما شهد المهرجان التحليق بما يزيد عن 300 طائرة ورقية احترافية، وسجلت منافذ البيع توزيع قرابة 7000 آلاف طائرة ورقية.
وقد سجل المهرجان منذ انطلاقه نجاحاً إعلامياً وجماهيرياً مبهراً في ظل تفاعل ما يزيد عن 20 وسيلة محلية وإقليمية وعالمية مع الحدث، وعلى قنوات التواصل الاجتماعي كذلك؛ إذ حققت تغطيات أسباير زون عبر خاصية «Stories» تفاعلاً غير مسبوق، مسجلة نسبة زيادة تتخطى 300 % مشاهدة في أول يومين.
ويأتي مهرجان هذا العام بدعم ورعاية مميزة من «دولفين للطاقة»، المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي (كتارا)، وشركة Ooredoo قطر، والخطوط الجوية القطرية، و«كيدزانيا»، ومجموعة السلام.
