CCQ organises 3rd annual Alumni Reunion
كلية المجتمع تحتفي بالإنجازات المتميّزة لخريجيها
The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) has organised its 3rd annual Alumni Reunion with the aim of illuminating the future path of its students and sharing insights into the possibilities awaiting them as aspiring professionals. Current students joined former classmates to relive memorable moments and share their success stories and achievements since graduation.
In the spotlight at the event was the 2019 Alumnus Award Winner, Ali Al Kaabi, and this year’s ‘CCQ Success Story’, told through the experience of CCQ graduate, Amal Al Suwaidi. Ali Al Kaabi, who earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration (Honors) from CCQ in 2017, went on to become the Director of Communication and External Relations at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.
Prior to that, the outstanding CCQ alumnus helped Al Jazeera expand its global presence through his post as Head of Newsgathering and Operations, as well as serving as the Training Manager for the Workplace Transformation Project at the leading media network.
During his time at the College, Ali left an indelible imprint on the charitable scene by leading the College Team in Qatar Charity’s ‘Competitors’ program, helping to raise QR250,000 in donations that funded the operation of three schools and supported 1,500 Syrian refugee students to pursue their education in Lebanon.
Amal has been chosen as this year’s success story for her tremendous community service profile as an active member of Qatar Voluntary. This year, Amal completed her Bachelor Degree at CCQ while holding the post of Public Relations Researcher at the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).
During her education journey, she received formal training in management information systems, web development, and media relations, and has participated in numerous voluntary activities for the benefit of all segments of society in Qatar.
Commenting on the occasion, CCQ President Dr Mohamed Al Naemi said: “There is nothing more rewarding for an educational institution than seeing the fruits of its labour through the amazing contributions of its graduates to our community and Qatar’s national workforce.
Today we are thrilled to witness the incredible success stories of our alumni as well as to inspire our current students to follow suit and carve their own paths to greatness. We simply couldn’t be more proud.”
Echoing the President’s remarks, Alumni and Scholarships Specialist at CCQ, Amal Shurair, emphasised: “At CCQ, we give prominence to sustaining and strengthening the lifelong bond between alumni, students, parents and faculty members through unique experiences and communications.”
نظمت كلية المجتمع في قطر، حفل لم الشمل الثالث للخريجين، بهدف إلقاء الضوء على الإنجازات المتميزة التي حققها خريجو وخريجات الكلية، وكذلك تعريف الطلاب الحاليين في الكلية بالمسارات المهنية المتنوعة، والإمكانات والفرص التي تنتظرهم.
ويُعد الحفل ملتقى سنوياً يجمع بين الخريجين والطلاب، لاسترجاع الذكريات، ومشاركة ما حققوه من إنجازات عقب التخرج.
وتجسّدت رسالة الحفل في تكريم «الخريج المتميز» لعام 2019 علي الكعبي، وعرض «قصة نجاح» هذا العام؛ التي تناولت تجربة خريجة الكلية أمل السويدي.
وأبرز الحفل المسيرة المهنية للسيد علي الكعبي، الذي حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في الإدارة العامة مع مرتبة الشرف من كلية المجتمع في عام 2017. وشارك الخريج المتميز الحضور تجربته، وكيف تدرج في المناصب حتى أصبح مدير دائرة الاتصالات والعلاقات الخارجية في معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا.
وكان الكعبي قد ساعد في تعزيز وجود شبكة الجزيرة الإعلامية على الساحة العالمية، من خلال منصبه كرئيس قسم التبادل الإخباري والعمليات، بالإضافة إلى شغل منصب مدير التدريب لمشروع تطوير بيئة العمل في الشبكة الرائدة.
وخلال الفترة التي أمضاها في الكلية، ترك الكعبي بصمته على ساحة العمل الخيري، من خلال قيادة فريق الكلية في مسابقة برنامج «المتنافسون» الخيري بإذاعة القرآن الكريم برعاية «قطر الخيرية»، مما ساعد في جمع مليون ومائتين وخمسين ألف ريال لتشغيل ثلاث مدارس شاملة، واستقبال 1,500 طالب وطالبة من أطفال الإخوة اللاجئين السوريين في لبنان.
وفي السياق ذاته، تم اختيار السيدة أمل السويدي لتكون تجربتها هي قصة نجاح هذا العام، نظراً لسجلها الحافل في خدمة المجتمع، كعضو نشط في مركز «قطر التطوعي».
وحصلت السيدة أمل على درجة البكالوريوس من كلية المجتمع هذا العام، أثناء شغلها لمنصب باحثة علاقات عامة في هيئة الأشغال العامة «أشغال». وخلال رحلتها التعليمية، أكملت خريجة الكلية مجموعة متنوعة من الدورات التدريبية التي أهلتها في مجالات متعددة، مثل نظم المعلومات الإدارية، وتطوير المواقع الإلكترونية، والعلاقات الإعلامية، بالإضافة إلى مشاركتها في العديد من الأنشطة التطوعية لخدمة مختلف فئات المجتمع في قطر.
وقال الدكتور محمد النعيمي، رئيس كلية المجتمع: «إن جُلّ ما تسعى إليه أي مؤسسة تعليمية هو رؤية ثمار عملها واستثمارها في طلابها وطالباتها، ولا سيما عبر إسهام خريجيها في خدمة المجتمع وتعزيزهم لرأس المال البشري الوطني، فهم سفراؤنا الذين نعتز ونتشرف بتمثيلهم للكلية في شتى القطاعات والمجالات داخل الدولة وخارجها».
من جانبها، قالت السيدة أمل شرير، اختصاصية شؤون الخريجين والمنح الدراسية في كلية المجتمع: «نحرص دائماً، في كلية المجتمع، على تعزيز جسور التواصل بين الخريجين والطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، من خلال فعاليات ولقاءات فريدة من نوعها. ويُعد حفل لم الشمل تقليداً نعتز به، ونحرص على إحيائه كل عام».
